This casino is off the main strip but easily accessible by a free shuttle from the strip. The rooms are smaller and dated, but clean and inexpensive. They offer a great variety in food and it is always excellent and also a great value. The casino has a great variety of slot machine and table games. The staff are all customer friendly and always willing to help. The locals frequent this casino and always recommend it.

We just stayed 3 nights at the gold Coast 4-15 to 17. We are a couple over 50 and go to Vegas a number of times a year. This was our first time at the Gold Coast. Our rooms were comped for the 3 nights. The check-in was simple and friendly. We arrived at around 6:15 P.M. The room it self was small but very clean. It was what I expected. The Gold Coast If you do not know is off the strip right between the Rio and the Palms.

We ate at TGI Fridays twice once in the evening cost under $20 and once for breakfast cost cost around $15. We had 2 buffets there dinner Monday senior day half price if you get 10 points on your card. A prime rib buffet night. There were many other selections and it was very good. Cost $14.10 total. The good buffet at the Rio cost would have been close to $55. The cost of the buffets at the Gold Coast are $5.99 7.99 and 11.99. We also ate the breakfast buffet and was good also.

We gambled mostly slots at the Gold Coast and the Palms and did not had have any luck at either place. The last few times we played there, we did much better, but not this time. The table games at the Coast BJ and Craps were $5. Did not play any others.

All the people we came in contact with were very friendly. The beverage service was slow at all places we played this time there. We had a good time. We did not use the pool area. It is very very small. A good place to stay if you have been to Vegas a few times and seen the sights. It would not be my first place to stay for my first trip. It is alot cheaper than the strip. We would stay there again if we got comped rooms. Had a good time.

If you are looking for a quiet yet convient place to stay in Vegas, then the Gold Coast is the place to stay.

We stayed here 2 nights in the upgraded room for about $40 a night. The room was nicely appointed and a good size. It was modern and very clean.

The hotel provides a shuttle to the strip, but since we had our car, we did not use it.

The pool area is small with a pool, hot tub, and a good amount of seating area with lounge chairs, tables, and chairs. It was more a family and or couples atmosphere compared to the strip hotels that we have visited. This was so nice! There were no loud, drunk spring breakers or misbehaved children. In March, we have found this at some of the strip hotels.

We did have a problem while staying at the GC, but when we talked with the manager, he handled it to our satisfaction and was super friendly and agreed with us on the complaint.

There are several dining options in the hotel/casino, and the casino is clean and neat.

We would definately stay at the GC on future visits.

The wife and I try to visit Las Vegas as often as we can every year ( At least 2 to 3 times a year} since I retired ( 1997) We have played at the Gold Coast whenever we are in Vegas, but this was the first time we stayed there and found out it is a great place to stay and relax and enjoy your holidays. All the staff are extremely friendly, rooms are excellent and clean, the restaurants and room service with prompt service and excellent food. We have no complaints and would highly recommend staying and playing at the Gold Coast Casino and Hotel to all my friends and anyone else who plans on going for a relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The wife and I are planning on returning in the next few months, as Vegas is the only place we now go to ,to get away and rel;ax and enjoy ourselves.

I am a resident of Las Vegas, yet I have visited and stayed at this hotel frequently. I have read some reviews of visitors who have not been satisfied with this hotel. I would have to disagree with them. Most folks have compared this hotel to some of the 4 star and 5 star properties on the Las Vegas Strip. The Gold Coast is not one of them. Thus said this hotel is by far some of the best value you may ever find for a traveler or resident alike.
Front Desk: Very helpful these folks will do their best to find you the best room they have available. Last time I had stayed in this hotel I had ordered a premium room (they are nice) but then I was asked if I was interested into upgrading to a suite. I was reluctant at first but then the clerk told me how much it wold be. SOLD! for $50 more I had an excellent suite on the top floor!! It was a one night stay but with my room rate starting around $40, I had the best room in the house for less than $100! Talk about a Wow factor!

The room was great. This is an older hotel property but that should not be discouraging. The Gold Coast is very well located between the Rio and the Palms

The restaurant Ping Pang Pong has some of the best Dim Sum food in the city. Just to warn some people the menu may be a little intimidating for people who reference something like Panda Express as Chinese food. Ping Pang Pong is more so the real deal when it comes to traditional Chinese. But, of course if you aren't adventurous they have an excellent steak house, or if your with your children they have a TGI Fridays (my kids love the place)

I'm not much of a Gambler, but the casino is smaller than the strip but very well planned out. I never get lost in this hotel. And they have a pretty good sportsbook.

Overall, If you are looking for an inexpensive hotel to stay at weather its for one night or a few days I would recommend the Gold Coast.

Some things to think about. They have a resort fee, They do charge for the internet, and they require a deposit for the room stay. But, this should be expected if you are a visitor to Las Vegas, and believe me its mere pennies compared to some of the other properties in this town!

Overall very fun, and a bargain!

Room Tip: Ask if there are suites available!
