I just got home from celebrating my 30th birthday at the Hard Rock in Las Vegas. I admit that since my birthday lands right smack in the middle of spring break that the environment might not have been what I was looking for, but boy was I wrong!
When I arrived with my friends, our room was automatically upgraded to a suite in the new HRH tower. The room was beautiful! Everything was automated and there were even 2 built in ipod docs to play our own music through the room speakers with! The beds were luxe and comfy. The comforters were UNBELIEVABLY soft and warm. Even the couches were extremely comfortable while still looking extremely chic. I fell asleep there by accident on more than one occasion.
I am not the biggest gambler, but I did actually win more than100% profit! That was so cool for me since I barely gamble to get that kind of payout. Beginners luck I guess. The cocktail waitresses were all so sweet and accommodating. They were just friendly enough to make you feel comfortable without doing too much.
The hotel is not on the strip, but just the perfect distance away to miss the heavy traffic but be able to drive/ride there in less than 5 minutes. However, there really was no need to leave the hotel. You could get the whole Las Vegas experience there. The casino is great, the service is great and most everyone seems happy to help you.
My party did have trouble with one very rude HRH employee who refused to serve us at the bar (a group of 30+ year old women with appropriate identification). When I brought the issue to the attention of the front desk, a manager was standing in front of me within 5 minutes, getting details about what happened and seeming genuinely concerned, as if how I felt really mattered. I appreciated that, especially since it was my birthday. Not only was the issue swiftly resolved, but I was also given a $50 room credit for my inconvenience. The food and beverage manager and registration manager saw to it. They were amazing and so kind. I expected less from such a busy place with so many other guests to see to. I was so surprised at the personal attention I was given. That sold me. I am a HRH customer from now on whenever I come to Vegas.
My girlfriend and I both turned 30 this week. We and our friends all had an amazing time courtesy of HRH. I highly recommend the stay!More
