Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Las Vegas
Ranked #78 of 264 Hotels in Las Vegas

It's not a hotel for families with kids. However we enjoyed the stay and our kids were 10,15,19 & 21. It's stinks of smoke and marihuana but hey that's rock and roll.
All casinos allow smoking.
The hotel is not on the strip so you need a taxi at night or use complimentary free bus to the top end of the strip between 10am-5pm.
There is a family pool which is nice but fills up through the morning.
The big thing to remember is the heat in Vegas, it's unbearable.
If you have family always ask for the quiet end of the hotel non- pool side. We stayed in 577/579, they were ok.
The rooms are fine, good beds and covers with nice bathrooms.
Most furniture was black but this showed up all the dents and scratches. But that's a minor comment. AC was fine in the room.
The hotel is big with good eating places and bars and plenty memorabilia. The $22 resort tax is a very unfair addition to the bill.
If you want to do Vegas on the cheap book the travelodge near the strip.
The service in the HRH was good and had very friendly staff.
Overall a good hotel but the smell of cigarettes has put me off.
Live gigs at night and a number of artists playing live in and around the hotel. One thing missing....sound booths for playing guitars and drums...some rockers never get to play a GLP Fender etc. Why not take those nice guitars off the wall and let's the guests rock for 15 mins??
If you are single 25-35 you will enjoy this hotel.
No coffee facilities in room. Room bar and tray are very expensive.
So overall 3 stars.

Stayed at the Hard Rock for 4 nights for a stag party. Have previously stayed at on-strip resorts such as Wynn and Bellagio previously in Vegas so Hard Rock wasn't really my first choice given location.

Let's talk about location first..

Hotel is close to the airport and potentially walking distance to the strip (but in 120 degree heat a cab is a better choice). The location means you're taking a cab to do anything on the strip, which really limits your options. For breakfast, you have very limited options within the hotel (though did trip upon the juice bar by the spa which was a nice surprise!). Outside, unless you want to travel the strip there's not much in the way of breakfast spots. We ate at Mr Luckys every morning near the lobby - food was good but felt a bit hostage to the hotel. We did Pink Taco for lunch (highly recommended) but most other meals were on the strip.

For the room..

We were in a Celebrity Suite in the original tower. Room was nice but showing its age. Bed was extremely comfortable and bathroom area large. As others have noted, if there is a pool party (more on that later) in progress, a peaceful nap during the day is out of the question due to the loud music. Wifi was nearly unusable. No matter where I stood in the suite or hallway, signal would come and go. Others in my group complained of the same in their rooms.

Common areas were a bit tired looking. The hotel isn't quite up to the same modern standards as the newer properties but is still very clean and well maintained. Gambling area a bit small. Take some time to admire some of the memorabilia on the walls - there's some pretty neat rock and roll legend stuff. Also be warned that Hard Rock has a pretty strict policy on outside food and drinks .. If you choose to pick up a bottle of your favorite beverage outside the resort, be discreet!

We rented a cabana for Rehab Saturdays (the pool party). The pool area is massive and I'm told over 7,000 people have been known to show up. Music was loud but good, gorgeous people everywhere and wait staff very attentive. Once in the pool, a great party with everyone having a great time. Don't forget anything in your room upstairs as there is a pretty thick layer of security you will need to wade through to get back to the pool! Try not to get too nervous thinking about how much chlorine is needed in the pool to support your health with thousands of other people (who may not be as hygienic as you are). Probably my best Vegas pool experience (though other properties I've stayed at cater to a more mature crowd).

If the hotel were closer to the action on the strip and with some remodeling, I think it would earn top marks. That said, there was nothing bad about our stay so would recommend despite the location.

This was by far my best visit to the Hard Rock and I've stay here many times. The staff for some reason was just awesome. Had a great time at all of the pools and even made a little money in the gaming areas. See ya in September for the big fight.

I researched for months before we made our reservations for Vegas. I am so tired of reading all the horrible reviews because we had a wonderful stay! We stayed 2/9/14-2/13/14 in a king suite with pool view. I cannot say enough good things about this experience! The beds were like sleeping on clouds, shower and soaking tub were awesome, in room sound system that had playlists for you to use! We are huge music fans so that was cool being able to listen to music the whole time we were in the room! The view was spectacular with the pool and Vegas skyline. Valet parking, separate entrances from the other part of the hotel makes you feel like VIP. Give the HRH Tower a try!

Room Tip: Eat at Culinary Dropout! Pricy but worth it!

The stay at Hard Rock was extremely enjoyable, I would recommend it to anyone wanting to stay in a very nice room and have a great getaway. The pool was amazing, the waitress' were very friendly and the atmosphere was very modern with great music from the DJ.

Won this 4day 3night trip to Vegas, never had an interest in going there until now. The hotel was a mile or two from the strip but was wonderful rock atmosphere and decor (which fit us perfectly). There was a shuttle to the strip which saved us parking hassle. Across the street was KISS Monster Mini Golf and if you are a KISS fan this place is awesome!
