Clean up the elevators. You could close a couple of them and clean them thoroughly. You could tell they were wiped off in a couple spots. The pool was fabulous entertainment also. Very helpful staff. Food service a little slow

I stayed here because of my budget however Excalibur was cheaper and I wish I hadn't worried too much about exact central location mainly because its miles of walking wherever you stay.

Our room was on the side of the hotel viewing an Irish bar at the bottom and after our jet lag had worn off (3 days later) the music pumping out of the hotels speakers down near the pub/bar and this was playing 24/7. I was unable to sleep. So anyone with a room on the front of the strip or this side of the strip who will be in bed asleep at night (without copious amounts of alochol) I suggest you immediately exchange for a room overlooking the pool area of the hotel.

I don't recommend the buffet here either and the bathroom was very shabby and in need of some updating.
Brilliant location yes, but between the Mandalay Bay and Wynn every hotel is very much central.

Also March was amazing weather, 25 degrees everyday, bright sunshine. Any hotter would have been unbearable for all the walking.

Room Tip: DO NOT have a room facing the strip (Ceasers) or towards Mirage.

In Vegas I get it, hotels don't help you with your bags and they usually don't include breakfast. But that doesn't give the right to have the worst service staff in the entire world.

They reception desk people have the worst attitudes among all human beings in the entire world. Its like we as the guest owe them our souls and we're meant to give them our arms and legs or something.

Just because they're cheap that doesn't mean they get to treat guests who are paying them like scums.

IMPORTANT!!!!! We were checking in and there were 50 people waiting to check in. We were told to get our Players Card first. ! You can get them to the right of the check in lines. The players card does not cost anything, but gives you a chance to get in the Players Club check in line that had 3 people in line instead of 50. Don't be afraid to try it!!!! It really paid off!!!

The hotel is right in the middle of the strip. Our room on the 19th floor overlooked the new ferris wheel called the High Roller. The room was clean and was a nice size. The drain in the sink did not work and the one for the bathtub was missing..

The elevators look like someone vomited in them and it was never cleaned. All of them.
The casino is full of people chain smoking and dying in front of the glow of a penny slot. Very young and heavy drug using guests everywhere. Even though my room was on the 18th floor we could still hear the bass of some crap club booming at 2am. The restaurants were so creepy and overpriced we didn't try them so no review possible.
The real quencher was shelling out $600 for a cabana only to find out that day the entire pool had a $20 cover except for this tiny little section that was by the cabanas and full of every hotel guest who thought paying a cover for the pool associated with the hotel was absurd. We complained to some dumbo who had no clue and no concession to offer.
So if you like paying a cover to use your hotel pool, or like sharing you sleep with a 3am club bass, five stars! If you have a brain and not a cocaine addict look elsewhere.
This place is more budget friendly for right on the strip, but buyer beware.

Room Tip: Book elsewhere

The Flamingo is in a perfect locatioonif you like to go to other hotels/casinos on the strip. It is also now located next to The Linq, Vegas's newest addition to the strip. Very nice pedestrian area with good bars & shops. The High Roller, the new 55 story ferris wheel type observation tower is at the end of The Linq. So lots of pluses for location. Also, this is the first of the Total Rewards hotels we have stayed in that had a designated check-in/out line for gold members. This was a REAL plus, since those lines were WAY long for non-card holders!
The problem with the room was this: we stayed in one of the Go Deluxe rooms, supposedly an up-grade. Whoever designed the bathroom set-up should be sued! The "door" to the bathroom is a big piece of sliding frosted glass. So when one person gets up in the night or earleir in the morning, there is nothing to keep the bathroom light from blasting the entire sleeping area! Incredibly stupid design! Also, not very much sound-proofing from one room to another. we could hear the people next to us coming in at 5:00a.m. Not good. The entire hotel seemed to be over-run with 20 somethings, which is good...if you're a 20-something. We're not. All the people who work there are very nice and friendly. We'd stay there again, except for the bathroom doo debacle.
