“Awesome location”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 May 2014

We stayed in a large two room apartment (with sofa bed in the lounge if required) at the rear of the tower (918). No view but we did not let that impact our stay. Our room was great. Very clean and very spacious for the two of us. Very quiet at night. A nice place to stay that isn't in a casino.

The location is spot on with parking. There is a short walkway from the Strip bus stop to the Jockey Club. Located right in the middle of the strip you can walk to other casinos or catch the bus.

Use of the Stunning 14th floor Cosmo pool is a great asset. There is a little gift shop with some grocery items in the reception area. The lady at reception was very nice and and very helpful with a problem that I had.

Room Tip: Try to get a room with a view of the strip, level 5 and above

Visited here for a week with my husband. Prior to arriving I did request a room with a view as I had read a lot of negative reviews because of the block wall on half the backside of the buildings.
They did get back in touch with me and said it was based on availability at the time of check in. I can understand that, because I am sure people are constantly changing their rooms from brick wall to view.

We got very lucky. Not only did we get a great view we got the top floor which they called the Penthouse. It had a huge picture window floor to ceiling taking up the whole bedroom facing the fountains. Table and chairs were seated in front. That is where they stayed and every moment while in the room we marveled at this view. To the right was the Eiffel Tower of the Paris hotel. Right in front the Bellagio Fountains. Left was the mountains. What more could we have asked for.

The Suite was well stocked with kitchen, fridge, dishwasher, coffee pot, toaster, Stocked with coffee, filters and tea bags, sugar, salt & pepper, mints, powered creamer packets.
We never did use the living room, because we always sat in the BR looking out at the view. Had a dining area where we did eat breakfast each day and maybe a snack later on. Very nice furnishing. A huge walk in closet with safe. The bathroom was a little small, but was replenished everyday with clean towels, shampoo, soap etc. The staff was very professional and cordial. Free shuttle to supermarket a couple of times a week and to Freemont St. They did have planned activities each afternoon which they will give you a schedule when you arrive. You are not forced to partake. Also had coffee, tea, hot chocolate and popcorn in the lobby everyday.

We were never bothered by time share salesmen although one concierge lady was a little pushy. Just say a quick No not interested she quit really quick.

We used the Cosmopolitan swimming pool which is on the 14th floor. Very easy to get to. The Jockey club pool was a little noisy because of exhaust fans from the adjoining building spewing out onto the pool area. Cosmo had a great pool and experience so not a problem.

Bus stop on the strip is just a very short walk away. Walgreens is across the street Open 24hours and has a lot of everything including food, wine booze and beer. Planet Hollywood has many restaurants and shopping. Easy access to surrounding casinos.

I will consider going back to the Jockey club again, but will hound them everyday until they change my room for a view if I don't get one first time around.

Room Tip: Half of the rooms face the Strip which means the other half are facing a wall! Ascot building does g...

We stayed in a two bedroom apartment (with sofa bed in the lounge) in the rear tower - Derby Tower. Our room was fantastic. Very clean. Very spacious. Nice and quiet at night. A nice place to stay that isn't in a casino.

The location is great. Against The Cosmopolitian, next to The Bellagio. There is a walk way from the bus stop to the Jockey Club. It is right in the middle of the strip so you can walk to another casino or catch the bus up the road.

There is a lovely pool in the centre and also a fitness centre which my husband used and said was pretty good. There is also a little gift shop with some grocery items in the reception area. The lady at reception was very nice and quite helpful.

If we are ever in Vegas again we will definitely stay here.

We have stayed at multiple hotels in Las Vegas, and this by far was one of my favorites! The Jockey Club is centrally located. You are between the Belagio and Cosmopolitan, and across the street from Planet Hollywood and Paris. The rooms are very large. The bedroom was separated from the rest of the unit. It had a king size bed, television, a dresser, two chairs and a couple end tables and there was still plenty of room. The bedroom also had a huge walk-in closet. A safe was located in the closet. The unit also had a fully equipped kitchen, a dining area, and a large living area. There is a market located in the hotel which is very convenient. The rooms were clean. The staff was great. I especially liked the views from our room which faced the strip. We will definitely be returning! If you do decide to do the timeshare tour, just be aware that it is definitely high pressure sales.

We have stayed at the Jockey club twice now and had a very pleasant experience. The rooms are affordable, comfortable and clean. Great location next to the Bellagio and easy access to Cosmopolitan and Aria. Across the street from Bally's and Paris, etc.. Access to the Bamboo pool at the Cosmopolitan is also great.

STAY FAR FAR AWAY from Time share tour. Totally rude people. Gifts are lame and hard to claim. Pressure is terrible. Go to Yelp and read the reviews under Geo Holiday's. Geo Holiday's has nothing to do with the company that manages the Jockey Club.

I would give the Jockey Club 4 or 4.5 stars if it wasn't for Geo Holiday's and the Timeshare scam and torture.

Room Tip: NO goo view anywhere. It was built before all of the big buildings.

Staff were friendly & gave us a room facing the strip. We had a 2 bedroom unit for a week. Simple but well supplied kitchen. Dining room that seats 6. Living room had 2 chairs & a long L shaped couch/sofa bed. The master bedroom was huge....king bed, small table with 2 chairs, and had a walk in closet. 2nd bedroom was not quite as spacious but worked well for us. 1 bathroom had only a shower but there was a bathtub in the bathroom off the master. Unit was clean & spacious. Excellent maid service ....they came daily to replenish supplies or change towels. Mid week cleaning. It is linked to the cosmopolitan & you can use their pools as well as the jockey club facilities. The only negative things were the dirty rugs on the 2nd floor near the pool & the small hot tub. We will definitely be back....

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the strip
