“Great spot on the central strip!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

Visited with family and the rooms were clean, spacious and it had everything we needed. Located next to the Bellagio, I found it perfectly central to all the big casinos.
Friendly staff, nice decor albeit a little bit dated now but still a pleasurable stay. The pool could have been a bit bigger as there isn't much room to sunbathe but no other downsides!

Thank you for your detailed review. It is true your Vegas metaphor that it can be a crap shoot as far as view suites are concerned. As a timeshare resort it is our responsibility to insure that the timeshare ownerships are recognized as a priority for view requests. The Resort Desk does their best to accommodate all possible requests when available. To address the hazard in case of emergency, the Jockey Club has a state of the art fire safety system that was upgraded prior to the construction of our beautiful Cosmopolitan neighbors that was a specific design for the proximity of both properties. We are pleased that you enjoyed your suite, the team, the location and the service provided. We are pleased that you would recommend the Jockey Club as long as it is understood that a view suite may not be available.

The room location here is a crap shoot since the Cosmopolitan was built...an apropos metaphor for staying in Vegas. However, i came for a weekend training and not to gamble! Having stayed here once or twice around 10 yrs ago, I decided to give it a try again. I very much hoped for a "room with a view" - of the Bellagio fountains, but alas that was not my destiny this time. My room was facing the a wall of the Cosmopolitan...not very appealing and frankly feels a bit claustrophobic and very possibly hazardous if there was an emergency!...certainly less than ideal. I did not spend much time there so it was not such a big deal not having a fountain view...only the feeling of being in a cave was not great. At least I was on the 10th floor and could see up toward a outside deck at the Cosmo not too far above so I felt a little less "trapped". I stayed in suite 1074 (1 bdrm) in the Derby Tower and it was quiet as I requested since the view of the fountains was unavailable. It is a bit of a trek getting to the parking garage from there, but most everything on the Vegas strip is a trek!

The suute itself was fine and nice enough. Great to have a full kitchen and the extra living space...it does feel less claustrophobic with the wall view since the suite has good space. There are doors separating the bedroom/bath area and the living area. Everything was clean with good housekeeping services. Staff I encountered were all helpful and friendly. I might be back to stay here someday, but if so it will be more of an off time or off season I guess since they claimed no fountains view see available due to many time share owners checking in that weekend. (Late June).
Guess I could say I recommend Jockey Club as long as you know what you may be getting for a suite location. The location of the property is fantastic as far as visiting Vegas for all it has to offer in restaurants, casinos, shops, etc!!

This little gem is tucked next to the W and the Bellagio on the strip. It is centrally coated and close to everything. I was VERY pleasantly surprised at the accommodations. We got a one bedroom, one bath condo (suite) that was well decorated and maintained. We honestly were not sure what to expect when we made the reservation. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating. I would recommend you stay clear of any of the concierge invitations for free tickets or drawings, remember it is a time share and unless you want to put up with the sales BS stay clear. They kindly respected our wishes and put us on the do not disturb list. I would recommend you always ask to be put on the 'do not disturb' list at checkin when staying at a time share. If you don't, you are fair game for their sales dept.

Room Tip: Ask for a room facing the Bellagio fountains for a great show right outside your window.

We love that you refer to the Jockey Club as, “this little gem.” We are pleased that you were VERY pleasantly surprised at the accommodations that you describe as well decorated and maintained. We will share that you felt that everyone was very friendly and accommodating. The concierge understands if you do not have an interested in attending a timeshare presentation and provides many services that you may enjoy by way of show tickets, Grand Canyon tours and the like. We are glad that they respected your wishes of being placed on the do not disturb list. Thank you for your review and we hope to see you again in the future.

The staff was Awesome. The hotel was frustrating. It started with the very small sign to enter the parking garage, (which if your being a careful driver and paying attention to the traffic and pedestrians, you'll easily miss it). Then an even smaller sign saying "Jockey Club parking on B3". Went to the very very LONG 90 minute presentation. The sales guy didn't want to take us on the tour of the suites, (so NO tour, had to go on memory from 2 years earlier). The one-bedroom was nice. My room faced a giant wall (didn't like that). The pool was closed for remoldeling. The gym that was just completed 2 years ago was being remodeled and was moved downstairs. The live view of the Belliagio fountains was really a "picture" of the fountains (feel so ripped off). The one ramp leading to the other side of the hotel is outside towards the back of the building. Had a good time overall, but the Jockey Club experience was a speed bump in our fun. Got lost a lot in the hotel. By the 3rd day we kinda started to know where we were. Then we left Las Vegas.

Thank you for your review. We apologize that you were disappointed as our goal is for all who stay with us to have a pleasant experience. By your scoring it appears that you enjoyed the Cleanliness, Service as well as had good Sleep quality. It is difficult to see our little sign from the Strip amongst all of the lights but, we are pleased you found us. We are pleased that overall you had a good time while in Las Vegas and are saddened that the Jockey Club was a speed bump in your fun.

Stayed here for a work trip this April.
Bag boys were so helpful! Went out of their way to set me up.
Loved my room..had a couch, kitchen, sink - everything!
The beds were so comfortable and I slept like a baby after a full day at the conference.
I especially loved the little mart downstairs! It had everything I wanted right there!
You really can't beat the location of this resort. We had a party at the Cosmo and after a long night, it was great to be able to just walk back to my room! Really can't beat it! I would definitely go back and stay there again!

Thank you for choosing to stay with us on your work trip this past April. It pleases us to learn that our Bag Boys went out of their way to set you up. We love that you loved your room and everything. We are glad that the mini mart had all that you needed and that you think our location could not be beat. After a long day it is nice to come home to the Jockey Club. The best part is that you would definitely stay with us again. We hope to see you soon.

I stay here often. This is an old hotel that has been remodled and is going through renovations. The new rooms are fantastic, the older ones throw you back into the late eighties, early ninties. Everything is in your condo unit though except for a washer and dryer. The proximity to the strip and other hotels is its best asset. The pool hardly gets any sun do to the fact that the Cosmopolitain towers high above it. The owners decided not to sell the property so the Cos had to build over and around it. You as a visitor have access to the pool at the Cos so that's pretty cool. The Bellagio is next door and its property pushes against the Jockey. You have to get use to the layout though. Two towers with bizzare access to your room. Walk down this hallway, outside, down this sidewalk to the elevator... OMG. Then there's timeshare people that are selling on the second floor of tower one. Vultures.

Having said that, If you are there to see the sights, gamble, drink, party, dine and catch a few shows... the Jockey is fine. If you are there to do all that and want to impress? Stay and one of the other establishments... The Cos, Aria, Bellagio or Planet Hollywood to name a few.

There is no restaurant, no gambling. no room service, just housekeeping.

Thank you for your review. We are pleased to know that you stay with us often and that you think the new rooms are fantastic. The older ones that you refer to may be the privately owned condos and they are usually not maintained on the same renovation schedule as the Timeshare Suites. It is true we are not fancy but, if you are looking for a home away from home amongst all that fabulous Las Vegas has to offer, we welcome you to stay with us time after time.
