“Excellent stay in Las Vegas.”
Reviewed 25 September 2013

My wife and I stayed here for a total of 6 nights in September 2013. This was our first visit to Las Vegas and having visited most of the Casino hotels both Downtown and on the Strip during our trip I can say that Main Street Station is my favourite! The rooms are spacious and spotlessly clean. The casino is one of the smaller ones, but has a much friendlier feel to it, with very little smoke. Dining was excellent at both the buffet and the 777 restaurant. As an added bonus the beer brewed at the casino was brilliant (and not expensive). Highly recommended.

Spouse and I visited this casino in April, 2013. Stayed at Golden Nugget, but wandered over to this hotel casino in the final hours of our 5-day stay. What a nice surprise! Very old world Vegas -- right down to the video poker and slot payouts (much, much better.) We have read reviews of the hotel at Main Street and they are impressive, although the hotel is not truly competing with the nicer Golden Nugget. (The Nugget is just awful as a gambling venue, though. So our next trip will be a stay at the GN...but gambling at Main Street. Well worth the 2-block walk. (And don't sweat the neighborhood. Real people not on holiday have never frightened us. Just avoid at 3 a.m.

I have now stayed here several times - with family for fun and by myself for business.
You just can't beat it for the price, the ambiance, and the very homey/friendly atmosphere.
Main Street Station has never let me down! And if you've never seen the new Mob Museum, it's just down the street!

Our first visit to Las Vegas in 2005 and stayed there once a year thru April 2013. Always a great place to stay and hit the old type video poker slots which my wife loves! Staff is always friendly and helpful. Over the years we made friends with a casino slot worker named Linda. Miss her there since she has retired a year ago. We always visit the Garden Court Buffet, even fighting the long lines to eat is well worth it to us. Great assortment of food especially the snow crab and cherrystone clams all you can eat. This property sits adjacent to the Cal via a bridgewalk so when you want a change just hop over. Fremont Street Experience is just a minute walk away from the night action. But overall, Main Street was our "main" place to stay, always great clean rooms, fast check in and out. Can't wait for our next visit to hit our next video poker jackpot there!

Room Tip: Ask for rooms facing closer the Cal bridge, I think that's the best!

When we arrived , reservation desk staff was very pleasant. Check in was simple& check outs at noon, compared to the fancier hotels where u gotta be out by 11am. Room was not fancy, maybe a little dated, but overall very clean, bright & quiet. Beds were comfy. Called housekeeping at 12am asking for an extra pillow, they arrived within 5min. Now for the restaurants, Triple 7 Brewery was all around EXCELLENT, from the food ,beers, service, ambiance & prices. The the Garden Court buffet was phenomenal, for under $10 the selection of food & quality couldnt be beat. I recently had an expensive brunch at a " fancy italian hotel" on the strip & it was lousy. The Main St Station Hotel Casino is definitely the best kept secret in Vegas, from food to hotel room & although I didnt gamble much, I hear they pay out. Mom won $10 1st time with a dollar bill she put in the niickel slot.

We visit Vegas about 3 to 4 times a year, and we ALWAYS stay at Main St. Station! It has truly become our home away from home! We have stayed at other hotels on the strip in the past, and have stayed at Red Rocks & Green Valley Ranch, which have really beautiful rooms. We DO NOT like to stay on the strip - way too crowded, expensive, noisy, at least for us. So, we always stay downtown. We've stayed at the Golden Nugget way back when, and at The Cal (won a free trip), but for at least the last 6 to 8 years, Main St. has been THE place we stay. When we first started staying there, we enjoyed the decor, the friendly staff, the cleanliness, the great restaurants, the comfortable rooms, and the fact that the casino is not as noisy or smoky as all the other casinos both downtown and on the strip. Over all the years, all the things we enjoy have remained consistent! Being non-smokers, we like that it is less smoky - the only time we are bothered really is when a smoker sits down right next to us. They do a great job on cleanliness, our room is always clean, and when I visit the casino restroom, at least half the time it seems there is a staff person in there cleaning it - one of the cleanest public bathrooms I've been in, for sure! The buffet is really good, LOTS of choices (although we are not really buffet eaters anymore). We do most of our dining in the Triple 7 ...very good food, yummy pizza and great microbrews, the sushi and sashimi are awesome (and we live in Hawaii and my husband is a fisherman, so we should know). The customer service from the front desk and PlayersClub desk, the bartenders, waitstaff and casino staff is excellent. Maybe this is because they have gotten to know us so well over the years...darn near all of the bartenders and casino waitresses know us by name, and what we like to drink. The casino cashiers and supervisors remember us too. And whether they know us or not, we have always received great customer service in all areas. Also, since so many people from Hawaii stay there, we almost always run it to someone we know. Friendliness abounds at Main St.! There are a few negatives, although very minor. Most times we find the pillows are very thick and kind of hard, but we just request softer ones from housekeeping. Sometimes we wish they had more of the latest, newer gaming machines, but we mostly play video poker and have our favorite machines, so we are generally happy with the gaming options they have. We know some people complain about the noise from the train, but we always request lower floors and it never bothers us. To add to the good points, we like that we get scratch cards for all 4 of kinds in video poker, and the benefits we get from our BConnected Players Club card points are great, especially that we always get free rooms and can use our points to pay for our meals (at a 40% discount). All in all, we are VERY happy with Main St. Station and have absolutely no desire to stay anywhere else! We would like to commend these great staff for their exceptional, friendly service: Ronnie, Chris, Kelly, Jose, Joey, Ron, Jamey, Richard, Robert, Dane, Angie, Angel, Juliet, Debbie, Mark, Chuck, Carmen, Candy, Nelda, Joe, Michelle in the Advantage RAC booth, special kudos to Sam the sushi chef, and big mahaloz to ALL the employees too numerous to name that always make our stays enjoyable. Needless to say, we would recommend Main St. Station to anyone!!

This place is great. It's super clean, and has a boutique hotel feel even though it's a multi story hotel. We were staying on a weekend when there was not only a major boxing match going on at the MGM but it was also Mexican Independence. Vegas was packed and every hotel was sold out. We managed to get a room here for around $70 when everywhere else was astronomically expensive. We arrived early from the airport and the front desk managed to give us a room for early check in at 11am!! The room was quiet, clean and had modern decor. Very very comfortable. The bathroom is a bit small and dingy in terms of how it's painted, but it's very clean. The hallways are renovated, clean and bright. My only complaint is that the pillows were too thick and hard to sleep on. That's it. Hardly a problem. Very happy with this place and will stay here again.
