We came here for the first part of our honeymoon from the uk - after a 9 hour flight the 20 minute wait for check in was not ideal (and a little surprising as you would expect a big hotel to have a better system). Initial mixed impression due to this but on arrival to our room we cheered up quickly - very clean, great view, very spacious room with amazing large window. The hotel is huge - it took us 15 minutes to walk from our room to the street ! CVS and Walmart nearby so you don't have to pay hotel prices.

The only negative was that from Thursday night onwards the atmosphere noticeably changed to a party theme - the room above us had music on loud and late. Thursday and Friday night there was a lot of noise from the corridor. We are not old but we felt old with the amount of 18-25s that were there and seemingly drunk from about 4pm to 8am and wandering aimlessly around the hotel trying to convince themselves they were having a good time in various states of undress! It was quite fun people watching though.

But as we were only using the hotel as a base to explore the area it is well priced and was just right for what we wanted. I would suggest asking for a room near the end of a corridor so you don't get so much traffic past your room.

Room Tip: Ask for an end of corridor room so you don't having the party kids dancing past your room all ni...

I couldn't have asked for a better stay!! I was in Las Vegas for my wedding ceremony that took place at another hotel/casino; however, I chose to stay at the MGM because of past stays. The hotel has always been my top choice because of the location, attractiveness, affordability, and entertainment. This resort is the best and my stay was TRULY GRAND!

OMG...this is why I keep returning to the MGM Grand and ABSOLUTELY REFUSE to stay anywhere else. CHLOE COMES...you are a SUPERSTAR !!! I will forever REMEMBER you and the MGM Grand. From our suite...a Jacuzzi suite on the 20th floor overlooking the LV strip, to the stellar room service at midnight, to the exceptional friendliness of the staff cleaning our suite. Everyone in that hotel that we came in contact treated us like we were celebrities...well we are in our own right..lol. The staff in the casino was amazing, always keeping us happy and smiling. God knows we spent A LOT of time there and enjoyed every minute of it regardless of the outcome. LOL. We played well and were pleased. SO excited to hit the casino next month on our return trip to the MGM...got to get to booking. :) Whoever is reading this review...I urge you to look no farther, MGM IS THE GRAND WAY TO ENJOY LV. You wont be disappointed. The property is truly one in its own. The new remodeling and the adding of the Hakkisan night club...WOW MGM you outdone yourself.

The hotel was okay I really thought it would be better in all honesty. The rooms were very mediocre compared to the pictures. Guest services wasn't willing to help you out after 5. We saw a show there and no one could seem to point us in the right direction, we walked around in circles with a gentleman that worked for MGM and he couldn't find where our show was, finally someone pointed us in the right direction. We did end up going to another casino to gamble, the dealers and pit bosses weren't that personable, didn't really care if you sat down to bet or not. Waitresses were great though, she got our drinks to us faster than several of the other hotels. Overall would I stay here again...maybe

Stayed 3 nights for business conference. Can't say anything negative about it. Check in was easy and not the long wait I've heard about. The room was updated/modern, spacious and most important was clean and not smokey smelling (even though it was a non-smoking room, I've had "non-smoking" rooms that still smell of the smoke from before). Friendly staff from maids to the people in the business center. Never had to wait long for elevators, even when conference ended and all attendees were heading for their rooms. Conference center was great, just a long walk from the main hotel/casino area. Many food/beverage choices from high end to fast food. Our nightly planned activities were at restaurants/clubs in other hotels so didn't partake of any of the restaurants in the MGM. Didn't get to check out the pool areas either but they looked inviting.

we booked a petite king room and were upgraded to a Queen room at reception which is always good. the hotel is huge and finding your way around in the beginning can be a bit off putting but if you hang in there its just class. everything from the lobby to the bedroom is amazing. some earlier reviews had mentioned that the service was poor but i cant say that. i found the check in staff friendly and room service were polite and greeted us as we passed in the hallway.
room was clean and comfortable, bathroom was perfect and we had a great view of new York new York. there are no tea making facilities in the rooms and the fridge in the room is not for your own use, this is the only criticism i would have but it didn't affect my enjoyment of the room.
it does take a bit of time to get around the hotel but, hey its the MGM Grand not the MGM small.
try this hotel at least once.
