Once again our trip to the orleans was one of the most enjoyable times in Vegas. Great employees, selection of table games, and video poker, good video poker.
Always a refreshing break from the strip.

Stayed here last week. Check in was a breeze and we went to the 18th floor to our room. Average room for this hotel. I noticed that the furniture was really "beat up" in this room. Chipped surfaces, and worn finishes. The in room safe was bolted to the lower shelf of the night stand next to my bed. Really close to the floor and hard to operate because you had to kneel down to im-put the safe code to open and re-lock the door. Also, the night stand was not bolted to anything. So safe security was a joke. This hotel used to bolt the safe to the built in shelf in the bathroom but not anymore. This is something they should really fix.
The sliding door for the bathroom worked very well most of the time but sometimes it would get hung up on it's track and would not move. I pushed and pulled it back and forth and it would get back on the track and work fine for a while. I've seen this problem in every room that I've stayed in at this hotel. I've stayed here many times and for the most part, I like the place but these problems persist.
Parking was good. I self parked at the rear East side of the property.
If you have a "Players" card, and are a senior citizen, you can receive discounts on food and movies and extra players points on Tuesdays. That's a 2 for 1 offer for the buffet and we try to take advantage of that for breakfast on Tuesdays.
I'd stay here again but that's mainly because the hotel sends me special offers to come back including free nights and dinning credits etc. If I had to pay full price, I may not return. All in all it's not a bad place, but it needs to be upgraded and the problems need to be fixed.

The title and my review seem like a mixed message. Most of the time when I come to Las Vegas on business I stay at The Orleans. The fees for all of the hotels seem so out of control and confusing. I was placed in an upgraded room which was very nice. I dined at the Courtyard Cafe and was amazed at the speed my meal had arrived. I also dined at the Prime Rib Loft which was excellent. The hostestess at the buffet were very friendly and made me feel very welcome. I guess my disappointment came with dealing with the crowds, because of the cheer competion. The elevator situation was dealt with, but on my departing day there was a lot of trash and gum on the floor in the elavator.

I used to stay at the Stardust, and when there was no more Stardust, I followed my Hostess, Licette Rosa, to The Orleans. Licette is the best. She makes you feel special and always takes care of any problems you may have. I have introduced my 2 sons, and 4 other friends on theirs within the past couple years to Las Vegas. They love The Orleans, and will be lifers at The Orleans. I honestly can't find any fault with anything at all, but then again, I am easy and can't stand whinners. Easy quick check-in. Always good live music. Great Sportsbook. Well, I can't wait to go back.
