“Great Spot Just Off the Strip”
Reviewed 24 May 2014

In Vegas for a girls weekend. My friend used a time share week for the booking. Nice to be just off the strip and away from it all, but close enough to enjoy everything. The property was lovely and very well appointed. We had a suite and it was roomy and spacious. It is a time share and there was the typical pesky selling situation, but that seemed to be all over Las Vegas to some extent. The staff was friendly and helpful. Would recommend for people who want to visit the area but don't want to spend 30 minutes walking thru a casino to get to their elevator tower.

My wife and I went with some friends during my spring break. First time visit to Vegas. The hotel was very convenient to everything we wanted to do. The staff was very helpful in helping us get tickets and selecting things to do on our short trip. We were able to walk to most of the places we wanted to go. We were between the MGM and Planet Hollywood. We had a good view from our room toward the strip facing downtown. The pool is on the roof and great for sunning or taking in the view.

Reviews are pretty accurate. We spent allot of time walking the strip and location can't be beat. Right in center of all the action. No casino is a plus, you can be on the strip and run back to your room in a few minutes without have to go through a casino maze as with most places. We had a studio and yes it was a bit small with fridge and microwave but no toaster or stove. The studios seem to be adjoining rooms and you could hear everything through the adjoining door. There were 3 parties in our group all with studios and all the same. I am sure if we upgraded the room would of been much nicer, but we weren't there for the room. It was clean and comfortable and that is all we required Room tip, get a higher floor. We were on 20 and pool is on 22. It was great being able to use stairs to access pool, as elevators were often very slow. One suggestion to hotel, it would be nice to have a couple of chairs and small table on the balcony. There is only one chair in the room. Would be nice to sit outside and relax with a drink. Pool area was laid back and constantly played easy listening music which I enjoyed very much. Stayed at Signature last year which was nicer, but not interested in paying a significant premium to stay there. Polo Towers is quite adequate for us

Room Tip: Close to top as possible so you can get stairs to pool area

Thank you for staying with us. We are glad to have been your base of operations for your Las Vegas experience. Being that we are conveniently located on the Strip, our guests are within walking distance to many major hotel casinos. There is also easy access to transportation for those who want to travel a bit farther away. We are also happy you enjoyed the lack of an on-site casino. This allows us to focus on our main priority, which is providing quality vacations to our guests. It also cuts down on some of the inconveniences guests of hotel casinos face, like having to navigate the casino, as you mention. Being that our studios are our smallest rooms, we furnish them to accommodate the limited size. This is why they only have partial kitchens with limited appliances; but, should a guest require any countertop appliance that isn’t already in the room, they should feel free to contact our Front Desk and we will have one sent up so long as they are available. With the limited space it is also difficult to provide extra furniture, such as the chairs you mentioned, without cluttering the room. Our one and two bedrooms do have more furnishings and full kitchens. That being said, we appreciate you letting us know how we can improve, and will make note of this feedback. In most cases, our Studios do have a door connecting them to a one bedroom, which is only unlocked should the combination be booked together as a two bedroom lock-off. We regret any inconveniences you may have experienced by noise coming from the neighboring room. Our rooftop pool area has been recently renovated, and are glad you were able to enjoy it when you weren’t down on the strip. Being that you were on the 20 floor, you did have easier access than some other guests, but those who cannot climb the stairs can still reach the pool via the elevators in tower three, The Villas. A higher floor is also more desirable by many of our guests, because it provides a great view of the strip and city. We hope to see you again when you come back to Las Vegas, and look forward to hearing your feedback.

I am one of the many unhappy members of Diamond Resorts, who have headquarters at this hotel.

The issues experienced included:

Noisy air conditioning, making it impossible to sleep
Views over the car parks
Staff not interested in complaints
Long waits for car valet service
Old fashioned ugly appliances in the rooms
Hard sales talk to buy more points under the guise of an update meeting plus free show tickets. (don't do it!)
Freezing cold swimming pool
Music blaring out so you cant relax
Drunks and yobbs shouting and drinking in the pools
Beds only get made if you leave the doors open (stopping ac from working properly)

I know Vegas can be a full on place, but I expect a higher standard of accommodation, and guests, especially at a Diamond Resort

Room Tip: you can ask for a strip view....but they may well ignore your request!

Hello Holidaymaker9999999,
We sincerely apologize for the highly uncommon, but multiple issues you encountered with our facility during your visit. We intend to provide comfortable, well-prepared, and immaculately maintained guest rooms for our owners, members and guests’ arrival. We hope you will allow us to gather additional details surrounding your room and experience with us, so that we may pinpoint the specific factors leading to a room not prepared to our standards. Please know that this is not a common occurrence at our resort, and we will make every possible effort to prevent a similar situation from taking place. Thank you for alerting us of your concerns. We care; and hope to receive a response back from you soon so that we may have the chance to attempt to offset the difficulties you experienced.

We've stayed 3 nights and I recommend Polo Towers as a best value price hotel.
First of all it is 2 mins away (by walking) from the center part of LV Strip so I think that makes it a really good deal for a 3* hotel.
It is clean, friendly staff, it has a roof-top swimming pool and a jacuzzi, a gym.
It's not like the majority hotels where you have casinos and other exhibits on the ground floor but this way it is more quite.
We still got a room with a view to the big hotel on the Strip so that made it perfect.

Room Tip: Higher floor room with LV Strip view makes a lovely picture

All I can say is that Polo Towers is still the best deal in Las Vegas by far.. with the new pool area on the top floor ,our stay was great, The staff as alwsys are polite and very helpfull. The rooms may be dated ,but are still the cleanest anywhere ,in las Vegas bar none,It,s nice after a day on the strip to have a fully equipped condo tocome back to ,just like home I will not stay any where else, the high end high price big hotels can not keep up to the Polo Towers, Thanks

Room Tip: Stay on the back side and you get to see the airport, neet

I have been an owner at diamond resorts for a few years, the hotel is constantly trying to improve on its service. Even though it's a timeshare resort, you can skip all the sales talk by just not opting to go get your "free" gift at the concierge on an ownership or paid stay. Even though cleaning is periodic based on the number of days you are staying. towel service is daily, so you can hang your towel to help save the environment or just leave the towel on the floor to get a new one each day. Less hustle and bustle but Planet Hollywood is a short walk across the street, as well as the other strip hotels and casinos nearby.
Kitchen and living room in the 1 and 2 bedrooms is comfortable and homelike.

Room Tip: Stayed there many times, all rooms are similar within the same category of studio (with king Murphy...
