“Best stop over!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 August 2014

In 1999 my friend George and I set out to visit the Grand Canyon, but due to heavy snow we had to abandon that trip and head to Las Vegas instead. Neither of us gambles, so we stayed on to see one variety show and head straight to Los Angeles.

After 15 years I had the opportunity once again to visit the Grand Canyon this year in May. After attending my nephew’s graduation in the East Coast we decided to head to Las Vegas for one night before driving to Grand Canyon. Recent movies such as the HANGOVER have increased the interest in Vegas.

Having visited Vegas only once before, we decided to take a look at the comments in the Tripadvisor about where to stay in Vegas. We decided to go with the new hotel called ARIA. It was a weekday, so when we arrived the Hotel was not so busy. We booked two basic double rooms. But, when we checked in the young man in the counter very kindly said, “You and your family have been upgraded, we are pleased to offer you two suites for the same price”! We were happy of-course, and accepted the kind offer. Now coming from Hong Kong, a basic hotel room is about 200 square feet and a suite in a 5 Star Hotel is about 500 square feet, so we expected a suite the size of 500 to 600 square feet, but to our amazement we were totally surprised to find that our suites were about a 1600 square feet each! Each suite had two separate bed rooms fully en-suite with all the amenities. Each bedroom had its own bathroom, shower, toilet, dressing room etc.! There was even a guest bathroom in the dining room!

My nephews were totally ecstatic. The window screens were all remote controlled, and the view from our floor was amazing!

We ordered meals in the room, as we had to check out early the next morning. The dinner was excellent, the staff was always polite and made us feel very special.

As our journey had to continue onto the Grand Canyon and Monument Valley the next day, our stay in Vegas was short. But in the future if we ever decide to return to Vegas we will without hesitation choose the Aria Hotel to stay with. Thanks to Tripadisor for all the comments.

Nassir.

This Hotel Resort has it all, From the minute you enter your room and the curtains open up and the T V comes on playing soft music with you name on the screen . You can control every aspect from the T V , A/C Lighting , and total blackout from your remote or the clock beside your bed. All roons are designed to give a corner view. The doors shut without making any noise. More restaraunts than I can name. All the employees are very friendly and helpful.
This is the one to stay at when you want it all.

Room Tip: There are no bad rooms, All views are great. If your first trip get the Strip View.

This is a great center strip property with very accommodating people. We were delayed in getting into our room but when we got up there we had a comp berry and macaroon snack. Very nice room but ask to be close to the elevator because this place has long halls. Nice bathroom but terrible water pressure. Nice toiletries. Nice bed.

Room Tip: Ask for a strip view upgrade. Many rooms back up to the highway and have no active view except a bus...

Green Features: Not very. Usual card asking to reuse sheets and towels. Lowered water pressure.

Stop 1 on our honeymoon at the Aria.
We had a city view deluxe room on the 17th floor. Stunning room. Huge bed. You can control everything; lights, tv, curtains, air con, via the tablet next to the bed... Was a nice touch! Bathroom was also huge, especially the bath/shower room.
The pool area was great, didn't have a problem finding a lounger.
We ate at the patisserie once, really nice paninis, salads and muffins! The buffet restaurant was amazing, breakfast had everything. We also had dinner there one night, great selection and the desserts were incredible!
The location of the hotel is great, right in the middle of the strip, near everything!

Aria is a great hotel to stay at for your Las Vegas trip. It is located center strip with easy access to crystals shops (city center) and tram to Monte Carlo, Vdara, and Bellagio. I had a nice relaxing time here. Hotel was quiet and not smokey at all. Rooms were spacious with motorized curtains. A regular sized room is big enough. I don't think its worth it for a bigger room. The mountain/ pool views are the best. The bathroom was clean and it had a unique design with tub and separate shower combo located behind a clear see through glass doors. The pool was pretty plain compared to some of the Las Vegas pools at other hotels. I would recommend this hotel for the 40 - and up crowed. It didn't possess that wow factor or atmosphere for young party going travelers. It was more a place to relax but still be on the strip. I think it's a little over pricey at times. I recommend this hotel but if the price is over 100$ I think you can find a better rate and have more fun at other hotels on the strip.

Stayed 5 nights in this lively hotel. Non-themed but beautifully set out. Rooms are fantastic with everything controlled via the remote control on the TV. The space is unbelievable. Lovely restaurants and English PUB at entrance good value, especially as there is happy hour from 3-6 and then from 10 pm. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely return

Thank you for the wonderful review. I am delighted that our contemporary décor and the Control4 technology created a fanciful environment for you. Moreover, it is astounding to know that ARIA offered convenient access to a plethora of mouth-watering restaurants, including Todd English P.U.B. inside The Shops at Crystals.
