We received a great rate at this hotel and I was especially excited about the advertised spacious rooms. In total we rented 3 rooms, one bedroom suite and two deluxe rooms. The one bedroom deluxe is worth the 20 a night more, so go for that one.

My deluxe room was spacious, but the furniture in my one bedroom deluxe was sad and dated from the 80s (which I can't understand, since the hotel is not that old) and not at all like the pictures on their internet sites. There was an uncomfortable smell in the room, an odor of stale cooking, which is unfortunately a problem when you stay in a hotel where guests are cooking in their rooms.

The small kitchenette was nice, but not very functional. I guess someone could use the stove and oven, if you needed to, but it is not very practical.

The hotel staff at the front desk and housekeeping were very friendly. However, they keep trying to sell you timeshares while you are there. When we checked in, they asked us if we wanted to attend a timeshare meeting in the morning for free tickets to a show. We all said no, but they called us again at 9:00 the next morning (it is Vegas after all and we were still in bed) to try to get us to attend the timeshare presentation. I didn't ask for a 9:00 wake up call.

The location is not too bad about 1 1/2 blocks from Planet Hollywood, the closest casino, which is where is spent most of our time.

I paid $59 for my room, which is great for the location.

All in all, not a bad place to stay if this is your first time to Vegas or if you are a non-gambler. However, there are other hotels that offer suites (Rio, Tuscany Suites) that are just as nice (or nicer) and cheaper if you drop some money in their casino. Since I gambled at both while I was there, I am already getting e-mail offers for a free or $39 a night hotel room. I spent a small amount at the downtown hotels and I am also getting offers for free rooms.

Room Tip: Go for the upgrade to the one bedroom suite.

Start with easy parking, friendly staff, and a quiet, clean, non-smoking, well-appointed room. Add a small kitchen, great shower, excellent bed and pillows, good-sized pool with hot tub (and pool towels!), and good security. It all comes to a great value. Honestly, we couldn't believe how good this hotel is for the price we paid. As for location, we're not big-city people, and after a week at Zion & Brice, we were glad to be a couple of blocks from the strip, where it was less hectic. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to friends without hesitation.

Room Tip: Lower floor near elevator is most convenient. For a real "Strip view", choose a higher flo...

When I reserved at the Carriage House by a timeshare exchange, I was a little dissapointed because I didn't know much about the hotel only that it was near the strip where i wanted to be. Over the last 10 years we have stayed at many places. So I was pleasently surprised when we checked in. There was ample free on-site parking, Just across the driveway was a pool and spa and fenced in tennis court. It was small enough with only 9 floors that the front desk remembers you. No casino or restaurants, but they are nearby. Our one bedroom was newly renevated with full kitchen(stainless steel and granite), GE appliances, dishwasher and all kitchen amenities, dining table, large living room and one of the mostcomfortable beds of any hotel. Daily maid service with generous amenities. Across the street was the Miracle Mile Shops with anything you might want - 170 stores, 15 restaurants, Planet Hollywood Casino, theatre shows and more.

A short drive away we found Ellis Island Casino, Restaurant and Brewery where there were "cheap eats" ($5.29 bacon and eggs, $7.99 sirloin steak full dinner) The concierge desk was helpful in the non smoking hotel. When I needed maintenance because the TV wasn't working, he was there in 3 minutes. I didn't use it but there was free WiFi in the room and free internet in the lobby. This is really a "come again, welcome home " hotel.

Spent 2 nights at this property. Good location, just off the strip, across from
Miracle mile shopping. Excellent security. Must use room key to access the floor. Parking on property across from entrance. We had a standard room which was a good size with small kitchen area. Room was clean, bed and pillows comfortable. Did not use the pool but it appeared clean and well maintained. We wanted a non smoking hotel without a casino and this was perfect. We were on the 8th floor and there were laundry facilities. Would stay here again.

We were very happy with the carriage house.
We have to kids and while we did miss the experience of staying in one of the casino's it was good to get away from the strip.
The kitchen facilities were excellent. We had our own breakfast everyday which saved up heaps of money.
We had smartphones and used their WIFI which was more than adequate and they had internet computers down in the lobby with printers which was great.
We had groceries delivered which was done on the internet down in the lobby.
Overall it was a good experience and I recommend staying there, its one block away from the strip and close to planet Hollywood shops. '
Guaranteed non smoking was good too.

We were pleasantly surprised by this great hotel. We had just disembarked from a 3 day raft trip in the Grand Canyon and were anxious to get back to civilization. We were greeted by a friendly clerk and quickly given our keys. The hotel has superb security and the room we stayed in was great. It was very clean, spacious and quiet. The location could not be better. Close enough to the Strip to walk to almost every casino, yet far enough off the Strip to not be bothered by the noise and activity. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting great location without the noise and activity of Vegas.
