Treasure Island - TI Hotel & Casino
Ranked #74 of 264 Hotels in Las Vegas
Reviewed 22 August 2014

We checked in on Sunday 08-17. This was my 3rd trip to Vegas and my 1st time staying at TI. We stayed in room 34037, a gorgeous corner suite overlooking the ships and the strip. For all the traffic the hotel gets daily, it stays very clean and the staff was always very courteous. We will definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Corner Suites have great views

We chose to stay at TI after finding a good price. The location is good for what we like to do in Vegas.
Check in was quick was charged $28 per night resort fee which we later found out we could decline after we'd already paid. You get coupons and wifi for the resort fee, we didn't use any coupons and could connect to wifi anyway so was annoyed about that!
The casino is big enough, not as big as some of the bigger hotels but a good size. We had a strip view room on the 27th floor which we booked and paid for, well worth it! We could also see the pool from there. One complaint I had is over the weekend they have events by the pool which were VERY loud we could hear in our bedroom. The room was modern and a good size, amazing bed. Housekeeping I found to be lazy though. Left a dirty bed sheet thrown on the floor one day and didn't dust the room daily. Also don't think she hovered each day! We used the pizzeria downstairs a few times which was good on the run. We hired a cabana one day and after we had already committed to it they throw in the fact that there is an 18% service charge!!!! Ate at Kahunaville by the pool one day, would not recommend!!!!! Pool area is good with nice loungers!!! Had breakfast in the coffee shop 2 days which was good used the on site Starbucks the rest of the time. This is our 3rd visit to Vegas and we would stay at TI again but know which bits to avoid!

Stayed here 2 nights board only
Large hotel which can be a bit overwhelming. Staff were courteous and efficient
Was aware that there was a "Resort Fee" to pay on checking in ($49 a night) ...why they can't include it in the price I don't know. For this we got free wifi in the rooms plus a few vouchers which we didn't use. The only one I thought may have been useful was a 2 for 1 for the all-day buffet
Was up on the 22nd floor and paid extra to get a view of the Strip which I think was worth it. If you ended up on the other side of the hotel, you'd probably just get a view of concrete and desert
Rooms were quiet and comfortable and kitted out to a high standard. Air conditioning was quiet and efficient
Wifi worked fine without being too fiddly
Ate breakfast in the coffee shop one morning and it was $65 (+ tip) which I thought was a bit steep - although the portions were enormous...much more than any sane human should have at that time of day
Although we didn't use it, the pool seemed quite popular without being heaving
Would I stay here again? Having been here once I'd probably try somewhere else for the variety rather than anything being wrong with the hotel - I'd say it was reasonable value

Room Tip: It was only a few $s extra for a room looking out over the Strip - seriously consider it

We chose to stay here because of Location and Budget. The hotel is ok, it's one of the more dated hotels however the rooms are clean and spacious and you get what you pay for.

The location of the hotel is great, pretty much right in the middle of the strip so you can easilly walk to most of the other hotels nearby.

The staff were a bit of a let down - our keys freqently stopped working to our rooms and they wouldn't issue another one without providing ID which we had safely locked away inside our rooms which we obviously couldn't access without a key!!! The resort fee is quite expensive for what you get however I think the other hotels charge the same.

We were issued with a free buffet ticket which we took advantage of and the food here was good however the staff again were a major let down and you could tell they clearly didn't enjoy their job!!

Room Tip: Ask for a strip facing room

The hotel was OK. It was nothing to write home about. Our view was amazing, so I can't complain about that. The location was also very nice. However, compared to some other hotels I've stayed at both in and out of Vegas, I've definitely stayed in nicer places. I found the bed to be uncomfortable. The staff was nice and courteous, but there were a few days we had to call for more towels because ours were all dirty and room service hadn't been up yet. The pool is small, I wish there would have been two. The restaurants were all tasty. The gym was nice. The TV wasn't very nice at all. One night it took me 10 min to turn it on. The safe and fridge were a nice, convenient touch.

For what you pay this hotel is wonderful . We had a very clean room on the 35 the floor with an amazing view of the strip and mirage volcano. We rented a car at the airport and found that parking and getting back to your room was easy, not like some hotels that make you wish there was a shuttle bus to get you back ,especially if you have been shopping . And the gaming for me was good . Can hardly wait to go back

Room Tip: Get a high room / 31 and up

This place is exactly what we expected, busy, busy, loud, brash, cheap. We stayed here because we had an 8 year old with us but she was disappointed as there is nothing really Treasure Islandish about this place except for a ship on the outside. Staff are not nice except for one young girl at the Bell Desk who was really helpful when we had trouble with the helicopter company that we had booked with. Rooms were ok, think they should be cleaner but they were acceptable. Television a bit small, and as in all the hotels we stayed in California, Arizona and Nevada very dark. I would not stay here again as there are so many hotels in LV but it was fine.
