The first room they gave us was terrible...After we complained, we were quickly moved to another room and given a 50.00 credit.
The walls are extremely thin...thank goodness all we heard was "talking" in the middle if the night.
Rooms and casino seemed very smokey.
Up side, good location.
This is an average hotel. If you have a few extra dollars, it's worth spending on a newer hotel.
Overall, this is an adequate hotel if you're on a budget...we probably will not be staying with them again...prefer the newer hotels.

I'm more then happy with my stay April 28th to May 3rd. Took a little time when we checked in but arrived around 12:30 in the afternoon and got my room at that time. I don't know what people are expecting for the money you pay for your room at this MGM chain of hotels but it was clean as a whistle and I think the staff was more then helpful. Room was a nice size and the bathroom was also nice enough. If I wanted something fancier I would have spent more and stayed elsewhere. Maybe getting a little old but again look at what you pay. Resort fee is a joke but it's everywhere now. It's location is pretty good but more at the beginning of the strip but still close enough. Just be prepared to do a lot of walking. Even the tram from Monte Carlo to Aria and Bellagio then it's still a walk to get to the street. We enjoyed the pools and the lazy river was not much but it served it's purpose. We lucked out the first day and sat in the back by the big private VIP cabana entrance that has a small water feature inside and found that to be a great spot for sunshine and if the DJ's playing the speakers are not near you so it's a little quieter. Couple of things you might want to know. Wireless internet in food court and I believe the other starbucks down by where tram escalator is. Only hard wire internet in room. Bring your cable for it. Hotel provides towels for the pool in the pool area, You can pick up a few towels also. Just used fast food places for breakfast most days and buffet once for dinner. Buffet was ok and I'm not picky but if you go across the street to Tix4tonight place you can get 25 percent off. We used tix4tonight for the shows we went to and they had the best price we could find and they are legit. You can buy dinner for up 50 percent off also. Go to the one right next to the the big coke bottle across the street. They are very helpful and very nice. We also bought water, snacks and some liquor from the Walgreen's across from the hotel or the CVS right out front. Ate off the strip two nights because we had a rental car. I hope you enjoy if you book this hotel but again for what you pay I think it's a great hotel. If you want something top notch then pay top notch price.

We recently stayed at the Monte Carlo at the end of our honeymoon and we were quite dissapointed with the overall standard of the hotel for the price we paid. The room was dated and the bathroom was quite outdated and in the bathroom the wall paper peeling in places. I wouldn't recommend this hotel if you would like to get any sleep as the walls thin and the music from the niteclub can be heard even on the 27th floor. On the upside the hotel is in a great location, you can walk through to other hotels and there is a tram to the bellagio too which really saved the feet. It also has a good food court but not many shops. I personally wouldnt stay here again I would Definately opt for the Venetian or the Cosmopolitan is also a nice option.

After reading a bunch of really poor reviews for Monte Carlo, I was very skeptical in staying at this resort but as soon as we got there I knew we made the right choice!

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary from April 26-May 4 and had no complaints. The service was really good as the front desk/ concierge were very helpful and answered any questions we had. Housekeeping did a fabulous job as well thoughout the week. Because we booked as a vacation package online, we didn't know exactly what kind of room we were going to get but were offered an accessible room with a king bed with a pool view on the 19 th floor. This room was really nice and the view was great too however the shower was not all that great. On the fourth day we were offered an upgrade to a strip view king room on the 21st floor, just like we had hoped for and it was great!

We really choose this resort because of the pools and they did not disappoint. Although if you plan on using the lazy river bring a tube along cause they charge $10/ day at the pool. Also you cannot bring any outside food or beverages (including water) to the pool but they do offer ice and water at the pool side bar which is really nice.

Brunch buffet was really good so were our meals at the Cafe. The food court offers a variety of food too, including McDonalds which we ate at a lot. Location was great as it is really close to the MGM, NYNY and Excalibur and there is a free tram from MC to the Bellagio which we used a lot as well.

Overall this resort is really good and I would highly recommend staying here.

We enjoyed the Monte Carlo. Period. The location is excellent. They met our every request. The hotel has the "hub bub" of Las Vegas without being overly crowded.

The little crepe restaurant in the am and the Starbucks at the back (not at the FOod Court) were welcomed respites in the morning. The bar at the BRAND was a great "respite" for some excellent wines by the glass in the evening.

The beds were comfy. The linens and pillows just fine. (DIdn't find the walls as thin as some reported!)

It's an older hotel and now the "baby sister" (step-sister?) to some of the surrounding new hotels with the same ownership. But we particularly for the price! We would DEFINITELY stay again.

(D.Vino needs an atmosphere adjustment as the quality of the food is excellent but the decor and "ambiance" (as in there isn't any!) does the food an injustice!

We just got home from 5 days in Las Vegas. We have always stayed at the Monte Carlo in Las Vegas and we were not unhappy this time, however, the rooms are startng to show their age. The walls are a little dingy and the bathroom needs some updating. But they are clean rooms and the staff is the best. Very friendly and accomodating...we are still happy with the Monte Carlo but if you stay here you should be aware of the fact that the rooms are showing some age.
The pool area and staff and casino are very nice though and the tram to the Bellogio is a nice feature. The location right by the New York New York and accross from the MGM and M&M store was nice.

We enjoyed our stay at the Monte Carlo more than our last trip at the Excalibur. It was not super crowded like some of the other hotels and check in/check out was a breeze! The staff was all very friendly and willing to help. Our room was clean and comfortable. It should be noted that the resort fee has now increased to $20.00 per day;however, they have added a coffee maker to the room with coffee and supplies restocked every day. They have also added an Ethernet connection for Internet Service. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would go back!
