My fiancée & I really enjoyed MC! Parking, check in & elevators are all like RIGHT next to each other - it's so nice to drive up, check in, and go back to the casino without the 8 mile trek of your typical hotel.
Our room was good, great view of city center - we did upgrade to a suite the last night (I want to say it was the diamond suite?) - it was huge, although definitely a little beat up but still was cool, nice big hot tub. The location here is awesome, connected to aria and good spot on the strip. Overall we really enjoyed Monte Carlo, having comped rooms from myvegas didn't hurt either :)

We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff was friendly wherever we went: housekeepers, restaurant employees, front desk clerks, retails workers, and casino staff. They smile, they greet you and make eye contact, and you can tell they're enjoying what they're doing! The rooms we stayed in on the 13th floor aren't newly-remodeled, but they were impeccably clean. Our only complaint was that there was no mini fridge. One very nice thing about the arrangement on the hotel floors is that the ice and vending is easy to find, as they are located in a round foyer area just after you get off the elevator, and the halls for the rooms spoke out from the foyer area. One thing we loved is how quiet our rooms were. We hardly heard any noise, no matter the time of day. We also like the rooms to be as dark as possible when we sleep, and the room delivered in that regard.

In the last four years or so this has become our home away from home in Las Vegas. My friend and I stayed there from January 18 to January 22, 2014. Check in was easy with very little line. The room was just as expected although the view was blocked by City Center. Still a nice view of Rio and the mountains. Room was clean and beds were comfy. Only issue was room was not cleaned on Monday. They did come up later when requested but left no water. Since that is the only redeeming value of the resort fee I asked to have the resort fee for that day removed and they happily complied at check-out. You can't beat the Monte Carlo for the location and price. We like to go to NYNY and take the tram to Bellagio. Slots at Monte Carlo not kind to us but plenty of other option. We have another trip planned in March. Back to the Monte Carlo.
By the way the construction in front does not impede movement at all.

Check in was fast, friendly and efficient. The disappointments began in the room. The furniture was very worn and should have been replaced. The room did not feel clean. The smell of smoke was very strong - especially in the casino- and even in the room and hallways my eyes were burning and watering. I had a pre-paid package that included the buffet, which had a wide selection. However, the food was not good in the buffet nor the food court. I advised my friends with whom I was traveling, to NOT eat there as it was over-priced and not very good. The hallways were noisy (I was on the 12th floor). I would not choose to stay there again as there are far better options, even though every staff member I encountered was wonderful.

Room Tip: maybe asking for an upgrade would be helpful.

15 minute wait in chack in line. We were quite early. They upgraded us to a strip view high floor room.
Smelled a little stale in the hallways but no a big deal to us.
The bathroom is a little dated and dark but it was clean!
There was no fridge in our room and that was a little disappointing. there is also no wifi, but we knew that going in, so not going to complain about it. At the restaurants and casino there is complimentary wifi available.
There is a keurig machine in the room... you get 2 free per day... but bring a box with you! Have a coffee or TWO :)
The buffet had a great selection and the food was good. I was only a little sad that they never served eggs benny with brunch. I like the self serve drinks. The restaurant is dated as well, but it's well kept and cleanliness was good.
The front of the monte carlo and neighboring new york new york are under construction. not quiet with strip view as the construction starts at 7am promptly. Even though we were on the 22nd floor, we could still hear it well.
This is probably why we got suck a smoking deal!
The 2 free buffets a day sealed it for us.
Shower was so hot and had wonderful water pressure. Room temp was always good.
The pillows are flat and hard, we had to choose the best ones out of the 5 on the bed. The bed however, was comfy and the bedding was clean and nice.
All in all, if we got a wonderful deal again, we’d stay here again. It was a friendly, accommodating hotel.

Room Tip: During the construction, a strip view shouldn't be that important if you want a quiet morning.

I visited Vegas for the first time in May 2013 for a joint Birthday with my best friends! There were 4 of us in total so we all just shared a room! I thought the value of the hotel was great! We booked online and got a special rate, the first two nights were $99 and the last two nights were $130 (or close to)! The room we had was pretty basic....two beds, ipod dock, bathroom nothing exciting! A mini fridge would have been awesome to store our drinks but the sink worked just as well! I'm a big believer in not spending A TON of money on rooms while on vacation because the amount of time you spend in the room doesn't make the price worth it....so no complaints from us! But the room was large enough for 3 girls and 1 boy to be in!

The hotel staff were very friendly, everyone at the front desk was very helpful! The hotel and casino were not OVERWHELMINGLY large like Caesars or the MGM which I loved because it didn't take years to get to where you wanted to be!

The pool was great! (A lot of kids though...) There is a beach volleyball court on the far side of the wave pool so we set up shop there....made it feel more legit with the sand....consistent sun...close to the bars! The bar staff were great! Always walking around ...taking orders! I didn't swim much but from what I did see the pools were very well kept and clean! LOVED the sun!

It is a very centrally located hotel I thought. In the middle of the strip. Getting places was easy not problems walking anywhere! Great surrounding restaurants and bars to go to! I found the food selection in the hotel was lacking but we had no problems venturing out to other hotels to eat! You can take advantage of the MGM buffet with a complimentary card you received at check in which is great! It's delicious with LOTS of variety!

I highly recommend this place for an affordable Vegas Vacation! Going back this May for sure!!!

Have been to LV many time but had not stayed at Monte Carlo. Had a reservation problem (not the hotels fault) and they promptly helped us without issue. Had 2 rooms for a few days after Christmas and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there. Fridge and K Cup coffee maker in room. From valet, check in and cleaning staff all we encountered were friendly and seemed to enjoy what they were doing. Being older hotel things are close to check in area. Steps away to elevators, pool, casino , food court etc. No long hikes required! Would we return?? YES.

Room Tip: Had the Monaco Suites. Extra room and additional 1/2 bath worth the extra.
