We enjoyed our stay at the Monte Carlo. It was very easy to find our way around and we felt very comfortable staying here. The casino was nice and I enjoyed it more than some of the larger ones we visited. The room wasn't fancy and could use upgrading. But the bed was very comfortable and the room was very clean. The bathroom had mismatched facets. Other than those minor things the room was comfortable and clean.

Had 2 rooms on 28th floor which had a decent view of strip and airport. Room was clean, bed comfortable, drain in our shower a bit slow so you had about an inch of water when finished showering. No fridge in room which I thought was strange because it was over 100 degrees every day we were there, went to Walgreen and bought a 6 dollar styrofoam cooler and took advantage of the ice machine, beer was always cold when got back to room. We got free buffet breakfast1 day, its a good thing because it would have cost over $100 for 4 of us. Pool area was okay but it got crowded pretty quick. You are not allowed to bring your own alcohol so be prepared to spend alot for an afternoon of fun. There is a food court which is nice. MC is on a central part of the strip and there is a free tram which goes to the Bellagio. There isn't any in room WiFi so we brought a travel router which worked perfect. Overall a good place to stay, I would have given it 4 stars but on our last day we had a 930 flight and i went down to front desk and asked if i could get a late check out or what else i could do to keep 1 room until later that evening, lady at desk said they were 100% full and nothing she could do for us, went up to room and checked on line and it said they had lots of rooms, phoned front desk and they said yes they had lots of rooms so i booked it for 1 more night. That way we had a place to leave our stuff and shower before leaving, why wouldn't the lady at the desk tell me this when i asked her 20mins earlier.

Dear santaclause1234,

Although we regret the plumbing drainage issue encountered in your hotel room, we’re pleased you found them otherwise comfortable. We’re grateful you appreciated our complimentary monorail service and buffet entrance pass, and regret any miscommunication regarding our room capacity the morning of checkout. Thank you for your patronage. Hopefully, the positives far outweighed the negatives, and you’ll consider returning again the next time you travel to Las Vegas.

Sincerely,

Lori P.

We tried another casino/hotel the last time we were in Vegas and decided we would return to the Monte Carlo. The Monte Carlo is a smaller casino, so it is hard to "lose" someone. Customer service is excellent! There are many bars and restaurants to choose from. The rooms are spacious. The only downfall of the Monte Carlo (every time we have been there) is the cocktail service. Good luck getting a drink on a busy night!

Room Tip: If you want a great view of the strip, be sure and ask for a room that has one.

We just spent two nights at the Monte Carlo. When checking in, I asked the guy if he had any free upgrades....you never know until you ask right ? We got a room on the 24th floor with a decent view of the strip even though it was the pool side of the hotel. Supposedly anything above the 20th floor costs an extra $30/night so I guess we did get an upgrade.

The room was about like any other hotel room. No complaints.

It had good selection of eating choices from all price ranges.

The location on the strip is great. Since it was 105 degrees there, I took the free tram to Bellagio when I wanted to see other hotels . However it had been a little cooler it's walkable to Bellagio as well if you are interested in seeing the fountain show.

Overall I really liked the Monte Carlo but their buffet was not impressive . The room package came with two free buffets and we used them during breakfast and I just wasn't overly impressed. Had I had to pay the $17+ for breakfast there I would have been disappointed .

We went to Diablos twice attached to this hotel and the drinks were worth it and the food was good too!
The chips and salsa were great!

I would stay here again. Good location .

Dear Allison C,

It’s wonderful to discover you found great value in your recent stay at Monte Carlo. With spacious accommodations, complimentary monorail system, and the irrepressible Blue Man Group, there’s never a dull moment in the MC. It was a pleasure hosting you, and we look forward to your return.

Had a great time staying at the Monte Carlo May long weekend. Rooms were spacious, and the beds were extremely comfortable. Never had an issue with noise. Casino floor never felt crowded and we received free drinks anytime we sat down to gamble for a bit. Very close to other hotels on the strip, and the free tram is very convenient. The lazy river was very crowded and the wave pool had loud dj's but we hung out in the less crowded pool away from the lazy river and loud music and still had a good time. Bought tickets to see the Blue Man Group and the concierge and go them at a great price and had a lot of fun at the show. Rented a convertible one day from the car rental booth in the lobby and the process was quick and easy. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The hotel needs complete updating. The room was dark, the furniture was all old and coming apart. the lamps shades had holes and one of the lamps we could not turned off b/c the button has broken off and we had to just unplug it. The carpeting was smelly and old. The faucet in the shower could not be turned off completely and I hate to waste water. The bedding was so itchy. The casino also need a complete overhaul. The slot machines were also just as old and new machines should be installed. Just a gross hotel that needs work to be done. So glad I was only there for 1 night. New York New York Hotel is such a better hotel for the same price.

My husband and I stayed 4 nights at the Monte Carlo Resort in early June. We made reservations well in advance and booked at a great rate.

The check in process needs to be sped up. We arrived on a Saturday and at 3:00 check in time, there were only four attendants working the front desk. Wait time was 20+ minutes.

The room was clean and adequate, but in desperate need of updating. The bathroom fixtures are very old and need replacement. The carpet in the hallways is very worn and needs replacing as well. The walls are very thin, so bring your ear plugs!

Our reservation stated that in the $20 "resort fee" we would be provided with 2 keurig coffee pods per day. There was a coffee pot in the room but it was not a keurig. Avoid the 11:00 free craps lesson!! The instructor went on and on about how to play so the casino would make money, not really telling you how to play the game so you can make money. My friend taught me more in 5 minutes than this instructor did in an hour.

The pool area is very congested. There are not a lot of chairs facing the pools. Many of the chairs are in rows facing each other and are pushed so tightly together, you cannot access them from the sides. You need to climb on the chair from the foot area and there is no space to put your bags, drinks, etc.

The resort is conveniently located in the heart of the strip, making it easy to get wherever you need to go. The resort is connected to Aria by the "Street of Dreams." There is also a free tram that will take you to Crystals as well as the Bellagio.

We have stayed at 5 different properties on the strip. I would not stay at the Monte Carlo again with so many other better options nearby. It can be a value, but you usually get what you pay for.
