“Enjoyed the Stay!”
Reviewed 22 July 2014 via mobile

My wife and I recently stayed at the Monte Carlo from 7/18 thru 7/20.
We enjoyed the room we had 323 30th floor the view of the strip was just beautiful we enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel no complaints on our end except for the airline and it was four hours late which robbed 4 hours of not being able to stay in our room longer but that is not the Monte Carlo's fault that is the fault of Alligent Airlines.
We did not have the breakfast buffet we ended up having brunch which all I can say is wow!!! The food choices were great the food was great everything was delicious wish we could stay for dinner but we had to leave.
Thank you staff of the Monte Carlo it was truly a great experience for our second trip to Vegas!!!!
We will see you soon!!!

We are sorry to see you encountered airline trouble prior to arriving to Monte Carlo, but are pleased to know you felt our resort was worth the wait! Brunch at the Buffet is an incredible dining experience we are constantly recommending to our guests, and we are excited to hear it surpassed your expectations. We hope you can return again soon and see all that Monte Carlo has to offer!

Excellent value for price. Front desk staff very efficient, friendly and helpful. Elevators to rooms were efficient and never had to wait very long since due to the # of elevators available. Hotel is older, and furniture shows wear, but beds were comfortable and overall room was clean. Our tub faucet was leaking, but called the next morning, and maintenance staff was quick to fix. Construction is occurring behind and between Monte Carlo and NYNY Hotel which starts around 5:30 am and is quite loud. Of course it can't be helped due to the weather, so they have to start early. Tends to be a eye opener. Excellent location on the strip with easy access both walking or driving. If you have high expectations, then you should consider staying at one of the other higher priced MGM Hotels. We would definitely stay here again!

Room Tip: We requested a high # room away from the elevator which cost a little more, but worth the quiet.

Well I read lots of the reviews both good and bad before booking our 3 night stay and I don't really understand the negatives. You essentially pay for what you get. Vegas is expensive and prices are high so I thought the price for accommodations here was good. The hotel is ideally located for everything. We booked the strip view but at the end we were it was hardly worth the extra money. Nevertheless the room I had was huge. Big king bed, table and two chairs, bedside cabinets and chest of drawers with loads of room around everything. Bathroom well equipped and lots of shower stuff replenished every day. It was clean and had coffee and water. Although those aren't free they're part of the resort fee you have to pay on checking in. We didn't use any of the facilities like the pool or fitness room so it turned out to be very expensive coffee and water. I don't understand this resort fee but all hotels do it so you have no choice but to pay. The room and floor I stayed on was very clean as was the hole area I visited. No it isn't the Bellagio but you're not paying those prices so there are a few scuffs here and there and stains in the carpet. From some of the partying going on it's hardly surprising. Staff were helpful and friendly and we had a great time at the blackjack table where the dealers were super in helping a couple of newbies. There are lots of food options. We had breakfast at the buffet and the cafe and a couple of meals at the pub. All good just pricey as expected. I did enjoy my stay here and would definitely consider it again.

This was our second visit to the Monte Carlo in the last 6 years and our 5th to sin city. The hotel common areas are well presented and clean. The food areas and the casino were great but somewhat aged compared to a lot of others on the strip. Rooms are adequate but could use freshening up. The pool areas are excellent with wave pool, lazy river and main pool. The main reason I returned, and will return again is the pools and the pricing. Hotel (for 6 days) and flight with Southwest was 1600.00 from Buffalo for 2. I found this reasonable and for the money, the Monte Carlo is more than acceptable, especially considering most ot you day is on the strip. By the was average temp first week in June was around 100!

Room Tip: Get as high up as possible for better view of strip

My daughter and I had a great time at this resort. The pool was incredible and the atmosphere was family-friendly. The rooms were nice amd clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Although we didn't have a view of the Strip, the view was really cool. My only complaint would be the Buffet. I would eat at one at one of the other restaurants, the food court, our somewhere else completely. The Buffet was overpriced and underwhelming. The staff there was rude as well. My overall experience was great, I would just eat somewhere else in the hotel.

Loved this place. very family friendly courteous staff, awesome blue man show, very decent dinning/buffets if that's your thing, but most importantly in the heart of the strip. An excellent place to capture it all without having to go far.

Room Tip: wifi and internet service needs a little work.

Yes there are more posh hotels on the strip, however, I found this hotel to have good value.

Pros:
*Location! Practically in the middle of everything. Easy walking to other casinos and the free tram that goes between the MC and Bellagio was a huge plus!
*Customer service was very good overall.
*Room amenities were sufficient
*Bedding was lovely and clean
*Room was clean and comfortable
*Casino had lots of slots to choose from, black jack dealers were awesome!
*Casino had great ventilation.
*Decent food court options for quick bites/snacks; loved Rubios!
*Price was right!

Cons:
*Had an adjoining room; could hear every conversation the neighbours were having.
*Housekeeping was sporadic with their timing, one evening she came after 6:30 pm while we were getting ready for the evening. In the mean time we had no fresh towels.
*Ice machine on our floor (5th) was broken...front desk did not care. I ran into the maintenance man one afternoon and inquired about it...he did not know it was broken and fixed it right away. Brought me ice to the room. He made up for front desk's lack of concern.
*Could not get wi-fi in our room
*Rooms could use an update soon, however, would book here again as it is now.

***We found there was not enough security on the casino floor. We witnessed on more than 3 occasions CHILDREN playing slot machines!!!! Yes there parents were "supervising" however this was just plain wrong and disgusting! On one occasion, after witnessing a family of adults cheer on a boy about 8 years old playing a slot machine, we left our machines to seek out security which was not an easy feat. When we told him what we had just seen he kind of shrugged us off. When we pointed out ANOTHER child playing a machine with his mother he did go over and spoke to her. It just left a bad impression of this casino.****

All in all I would stay here again. To be honest we only used our room to sleep and shower and it was fine. Common areas were really nice. Just keep the kids out of the casino please!

Room Tip: *Avoid connecting rooms; noisy *Ask for room near elevator
