This was my second hotel as part of a 3 part tour of America.
When i first got off the shuttle bus i was greeted to the smell of coconut which i was informed pumped through the air conditioning. It was just lovely! There was some isalnd style music on and i immediately felt in the holiday mode.
I stayed in the paradise tower and like the rest of the hote my room was immaculate. Very clean and fresh with great views of The Luxor and Excalibur.
The staff were very friendly and although i didnt go to the pool(it was way too hot) it looked so lovely.
A great value hotel which felt like a 5 star luxury resort, it is on the strip but it isnt crazy on the strip. There are no drunk people spilling out or anything just really happy relaxed people enjoying their holiday.
I would definately stay here again, i didnt want to leave!!

Oh yea they have the COMFIEST beds ever, i slept so well!!!

For $369 a night because of the Electric Daisy Carnival in town we thought Tropicana must be worth it. WE WERE WRONG. Problems with the room were air conditioner was broken, bed sunk on one side, toilet clogged on second say. One of the worst problems was the HORRIBLE towel small. We were a group of 4 girls and would have to load up on perfume after the low water pressure shower and terrible smelling towels. It was a mix of smoke and mildew for all 5 days we stayed there! GROSS! Had a problem one day with the internet because it charged us 7.50 to use and print and then it was out of paper! Took 50 minutes to solve issues. Maids barely cleaned room believe they only made the bed. Wouldn't even give new soap and shampoo daily! Nice pool but VERY cold.

I stayed here with my wife in late June. The hotel is clean and bright, though the service was not good. It took 45 minutes to get through a short line checking in at 3:00 in the afternoon, and the staff was unapologetic. Two phone calls from the room to the front desk were never answered (it just rang and rang). We eventually had to call the operator and ask for a supervisor to remove a refrigerator that had shown up unrequested and that would have resulted in an extra charge.

Speaking of extra charges, we reserved the room online and were unpleasantly surprised by a mandatory $10 per day "resort fee."

We also had the misfortune of being there for the opening of the Nikki night club, which resulted in room-rattling techno music being blasted through our room (even on the 12th floor) until 4:00 in the morning. Luckily, the club was closed the following two nights of our stay, so we were able to sleep. The club is open Wednesday to Saturday, so I'd ask if they've done anything about the noise before staying there again.

On the positive, we were very pleased with a day at the pool, where we rented a cabana with friends.

After weeks of researching hotels we settled on the Tropicana mainly due to the pending renavations and by booking 11 months in advance we got a fantastic deal. BEST CHOICE WE EVER MADE! the hotel is fantastic, the coconut scent hits you 50 yards before you get to the lobby doors and you just know its going to be a good holiday. We were upgraded on arrival to a corner room with panaramic view of the strip which was large, clean, bright and very impressive...the casino, although small, was bright and new with a good selection of slots. The location might be bit south for some people but it wasn't an issue to us..after a day of walking in vegas heat the most important thing is a cool pleasant base to return to every night and this is exactly what the tropicana provides. Can't fault the hotel..pool is large and tropical, great choice of resturants ect..thanks tropicana for helping make these two weeks the best holiday yet............

Happy to say the changes to the new Tropicana are well worth it. Staff was very friendly from beginning to end. Valet and bellmen made us feel welcomed and to my surprise doors were opened each and every time we entered the casino...NICE TOUCH, check-in staff especially Sarah never once said no to our many requests, casino cleaning attendant was dancing and singing with us as we waited for the rest of our family by the front doors, to the check out staff telling me they look forward to me returning. As for the rooms, new decor theme was beautiful and the beds are truly heaven. We didn't get to check out the new Nikki Beach but from the looks of it, it can give some of the other hotels a run for their money. Will I return for another stay...ABSOLUTELY!

Room Tip: the club suite is a huge upgrade for little $
