“Great, just what I expected”
Reviewed 5 August 2011

Really nice, big, modern room. Friendly staff at reception and many places to eat at the hotel. Pool was crowded and not much room in the shade (necessary at 46ºC). Food in room and at restaurants was more expensive than I had anticipated, but great quality. Especially recommend Sushi restaurant. Was surprised there was no breakfast included, but it's because there are so many restaurants and they are all privately held, not by hotel. But there's a Starbucks and another café which are fine.

Being from LA my family and I travel to Las Vegas on weekend getaways often. I don't usually write a hotel review unless there is a statement to be made. On this occasion, it is a good one. The service I received from Kaelah at check-in was outstanding. Considering, I was traveling with two young children and extended family she was very accommodating to our numerous request..... Adjoining rooms, all in same floor, a rollaway, a mini fridge, using several credit cards and applying additional AAA discounts. Kaelah was able to meet all our requests with no extra costs or attitude. On top of that, all the rooms were ready for immediate use prior to actual check-in time.

Room updates are nice but bathrooms are definitely small.

Before going to Las Vegas, sign up online and register for any promotions that might be sent you way. We love the mirage because they always have a promo going on. We stay there about 4 times a year. Don't shy away from asking for a "room facing the strip" when you check in. From the staff to the bellmen it is always a treat.

Taking a cab in Vegas? NEVER go via the tunnel, its a common ripoff. Take down the cab drivers license number. If they take you thru the tunnel, call the number posted for complaints. In Vegas they have laws about ripping off tourists by taking them the long way. Never fall for "I will take you the HIGHWAY to get there faster, okay?" It is a rip off.

Went for a girls trip. Three of us shared a room. Very clean and spacious. I've been to Vegas 4 times before and this is by far the best located hotel I've stayed at. Second day our bathtub was leaking, we phoned the front desk and they had it fixed by the time we got back from lunch. The pool at this hotel is decent. Not noisy at all although i'm sure that's always just luck in Vegas. I would definitley stay there again.
Also, one day they had half cleaned our room, and then left it to go clean another room which had complained...so we came back to one bed made, and one not, and bathroom half cleaned. It took a while for them to get back to our room and that was a bit of an annoyance.
AMAZING SPA~

We stayed at the Mirage during the last few days July for 4 nights. Arrived at the hotel just a little after 1pm, no big line-ups however our room wasn't ready but didn't expect it to be. We got upgrade to a strip view on the 25th floor room 25080... great room and had private elevators for only the 24 and 25th floor... no waiting. The room was modern and clean and the view of the strip was great got to see the volcano show right in front of us. I thought this hotel was great; ate at some of the restaurants " Californa Pizza Kitchen"... nice PIZZA's. hmmmm. Went to the Rhumbar and had a few drinks a few times. The slots didn't pay well... however it's Vegas..do they ever? Went to go to the JET nightclub one night about 1am... however there was a cover charge of $20pp; and then drinks on top of that I thought was a little step considering we were staying at the hotel... so we passed and went to the room. Went to view the pool one day... and it did look really busy.. and the other pool you couldn't get into.

Overall I thought this hotel was great, the room rate was good, and the location you simply can't bet. If I head back to Vegas I would defiantely stay at this hotel again.

A large group of me and my girlfriends just got back from Vegas and had a blast. This was only my second time in Vegas... and I would definitely recommend The Mirage to anyone who is going to Vegas. The grounds are gorgeous, the restaurants are great (something for everyone and every price range), and the casino is nice (with amazing waitresses that will actually get you a drink!). The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Check in was very easy (we had a very nice lady at the front desk check us in who got all of our rooms on the same floor). Overall, the customer service and cleanliness of the hotel sold me. Thank You Mirage! (oh... and it's right on the strip and close to everything!)

Check in was swift and painfree. No mention of the resort fees that have appeared on other reviews. Rooms were magificent as always and great attention to detail on the little things like towels and toiletries. Swimming pool was fab and always found a lounger no trouble. Try out the new frozen yoghurt bar which was a winner with our daughter. Had a lovely meal at the pizza company restaraunt in the Mirage - very tasty and good value for money.

Room Tip: No need - all rooms are fab.
