“Very surprised”

Stayed on the 25th floor, room was very nice, clean and modern. Never stayed at the Mirage before, I was expecting less because of the age of the property. The aquarium behind the checkin was nice because it gave you something to look at while you waited. They also had some nice flowers in the lobby area,
Could see the dolphins from my room, west wing looking north. The bathroom was large and even had a jetted tub and a separate shower. The room wasn't a suite, but still large enough that it didn't feel cramped

Make sure you know the sites you wish to visit or activities you want to do before arrival. We are not gamblers and brought our 15 yr old daughter and we had a blast BUT, we'd already planned our activities ahead of time. Awesome place to stay!

Room Tip: If you don't like feather pillows - bring your own! We went and bought pillows and just left th...

My son and I had a "do over" trip to Las Vegas to see "Love" at the Mirage. We stayed only two nights so chose the Mirage (where "Love" is performed) and it was a wonderful escape. The beds were so comfy, we're still talking about them. We ate four meals at the resort and were very impressed. We spent time at the pool and felt as though we had been tranported far away from the beat of the street/strip. Would absolutely recommend the Mirage.

Room Tip: Strip view is worth it if you're newbies like us.

We have stayed at the Mirage several times. The first time was to go to LOVE. We enjoyed it so much we always try to stay at the Mirage when we are in Las Vegas, or at least eat at one of its many great restaurants - our favorite being Fin/

Memories of the original over-the-top Mirage built by Steve Wynn still remain in the elegant and vast palm garden fronting the hotel and the interior conservatory dome that still exists, but MGM has managed to gut everything else of beauty and turn the property into just another MGM first class resort with little creativity or soul.

Gone is most of the spectacular indoor tropical jungle and waterfall when you enter the building; renovations are underway for a steakhouse where Kokomo's used to have their platform over the water. The light and airy tropical casino has become a typically MGM-dark space. "Mirage" is giving way to being called "M Life". Everything is changing to cater to a 20-something or 30-something clientele.

Rooms and public hallways have been converted to a modern Asian aesthetic in cool, neutral colors. Ours was very clean with good a/c and heating. The mattress on the bed must have been old, dipped slightly in the middle and did not provide good back support; in any case I left with a back ache.

We could not find a "main restaurant" that serves breakfast and lunch, but we utilized the Carnegie Deli for simple (but HUGE) sandwiches. We walked over to the Wynn resort for breakfast, and to the Venetian for multiple options for decent dinners.

Location-wise, the Mirage is next to some of the most spectacular properties (Caesars, Venetian, Wynn) and the main shopping mall on The Strip, and is very convenient. However, unless the other properties are not available or are unaffordable (which they are at times) we won't stay here again. We likewise gave up on "TI" (the original Treasure Island) long ago.

A great hotel, well located and with Alaska Airlines vacations the price point is reasonable. This hotel has something for everyone and hey, it's a Steve Wynn creation. We really enjoyed sitting at the Onda bar. Food prices were reasonable and service was amazing. Rhumba bar is fun too.

PROS: Really enjoyed our stay at the Mirage. Had a great comfortable room with a view. The Main Pool is beautiful (cold) but had tons of seating and plenty of room. Not a "kiddy" type pool and perfectly fun for adults. CONS: Tried out the "Bare" adult pool and promptly declined that postage stamp size pool. Lost a ton of money gambling. Don't expect reasonable late night food options. Slow casino drink service.
