“All round excellent experience for a newbie to Vegas!”
Reviewed 28 May 2013

We stayed at the Mirage May 8 - 15, 2013. We arrived at the hotel before 11:30 am and had to wait till 4 pm to get in our room but once there it was a great experience. Internet in the room was troublesome on a few occasions but a call to tech support corrected it. When we checked out I mentioned the delay and trouble with the Internet and the clerk said the hotel is hoping to put routers in each room to offset this problem and adjusted my resort fee to compensate for this. We had a great time, location is excellent- Walgreens, McDonalds and other conveniences close by. The Beatles Love Show and Terry Fator were great and don't forget to use your Mcard rewards cards for discounts on shows and earn points for other rewards. We purchased ours the day of the show and saved 30% on each ticket.

Imagine: Checking in during the middle of the night, totally tuckered out, and the kindest front desk guy EVER hooks you up with a totally awesome room, moving you to a two-bedroom penthouse instead of two rooms with two queen beds. He explained the upgrade would require a small fee, but would actually be cheaper in the long run because we'd only be paying for one room+upgrade fee. He saved us almost $500!! (Thanks Robert!) Talk about a stellar beginning to your annual girls' trip. This was the first time we'd done Vegas (we've done NY, Mexico to name a few) , and our experience at the Mirage was by far the best.

We wound up on the 30th floor and loved to unwind each night (ok, early morning) by chatting and admiring the strip. The first thing we'd do each morning would be open the drapes to once again admire the view and marvel over how lucky we were!! The room was clean and gorgeous-- Sleek living space, comfy beds, spa-like bathrooms. I want the tub in my house!

Every staff person from housekeepers to maintenance to the front desk to the casino to the lobby bar to the Love theater to all the restaurants greeted us with a smile and efficiently handled any request we made. They are a large part of why we enjoyed the trip so much-- they were so pleasant, congenial, and professional.

Restaurants: Cravings for breakfast was okay-- none of us are big breakfast eaters, so we mostly grabbed coffee and croissant at the Roasted Bean. We didn't have time for Cravings at any other meals, but I wish we would have :-). BLT was yummy--the bowl of chili was a good deal and very tasty. Onda was fantastic-- try the osso bucco with creamy polenta (I also added an arugula salad and side of spinach). To. Die. For.

The spa: lovely, simple, a good deal. We stayed there the first day and just lounged, moving from steam room to sauna to hot tub and back. It doesn't have all the bells an whistles like some other spas, but we really enjoyed the ambiance. If you do go to another spa (like Qua at Ceasar's next door, which was more $ but also amazing) do the Mirage spa first so you won't be disappointed by its simplicity.

LOVE: Loved, loved, loved it! So worth it! One of the best live performances I have ever seen. I didn't think I'd enjoy it that much-- cirque on tv bores me. Go!!

Overall, a wonderful stay at the Mirage -- a great hotel at the perfect location on the strip. Plus, you can make it to your room within a few minutes of walking in the front door.

My girlfriend and I visited Vegas the week before Memorial Day. I've stayed here before but this was her first time in Vegas. Overall, this was a really good stay. We booked a suite and was surprised to see the rooms size when arriving. It was actually a bit too big, as we weren't throwing any parties there and also were only in the room to sleep. Bathroom was great though and the floor to ceiling windows were awesome. Only disappointment was our suite on the 28th floor faced the highway. Tried to get this moved, as I wanted my lady to see the bright Vegas lights. No luck however. Would definitely stay here again. Was debating Mirage vs Aria, but for the price and location, we were very happy with Mirage. Lastly, pool here is AWESOME and my go loved it! Be prepared to spend some money on drinks though ;). Welcome to Vegas.

Room Tip: The suites are really worth it. Grab some drinks to put in the mini fridge before you get to the roo...

The Mirage has such a good location and the most comfortable beds and pillows. The staff is very friendly and it is nice to see the same ones year after year. Friendly dealers and nice servers. We have tried other hotels but keep going back to the Mirage. I like the casino vibe and find the casino the perfect size with plenty of room for everyone. There is a good selection of restaurants in the hotel and close by. The transit is also at your doorstep.

We stayed at the Mirage from May 21 to May 25 of this year. While we have tried a number of other locations on the strip and downtown, we definitely regard the Mirage as our "home away from home". We find the staff very friendly, courteous, and eager to please. I find that for the most part, even when the casino is busy, I can normally find a seat at whatever game I want to play. We see the same dealers and staff each time we visit and they are always friendly and engaging.

We love the variety of restaurants, the quality of food is very good (BLT Burger was disappointing this time), but overall you get great bang for your buck.

The size of the hotel is great. You don't feel like you have to hail a taxi to get to and from your room to anywhere in the resort. Lots of elevators, so you never wait very long. The standard rooms are a bit spartan, but very comfortable. No free coffee or water provided in the rooms, which is disappointing. To rectify this, we walk across the street to Walgreens, buy coffee and coffee maker ($14.99) a couple gallons of water and we're set for as long as we stay. We could just get coffee at Starbucks or the Roasted Bean, but we like to have a cup or 2 before we have to get showered and dressed, etc.

The location is central to everything we like to see and do. We like the shopping at the Fashion Show Mall and if we want to travel the strip, there are buses running every 15 minutes or the free trams.

We are in the 50-something age bracket, and we HATE techno-pop and the crowd it is designed to attract. It has not invaded the Mirage to any significant extent yet and I hope it stays that way. For the most part, you'll hear 70's and 80's music throughout the casino, elevators, etc...fine by me. People who like to bring their kids seem to be the exception, not the rule (another reason I like this place).

What it boils down to with us is, "if it ain't broke..." I know we have lots of other options but whenever we plan a trip to Vegas, we seem to end up at the Mirage and have yet to be let down.
