We hadn't been to Laughlin for many years but decided to give to a try since Las Vegas prices have become outrageous. We got a river view room, which was well worth the cost of the upgrade. We loved just relaxing and watching the boats. The room is not fancy, but it was clean and well maintained. The river view rooms come with a small fridge, which was nice to have. The staff were helpful and service was prompt. I called the desk for an extra blanket and it was delivered within 5 minutes. We decided to splurge on the Seafood buffet and everything was delicious. The river view frrom the restaurant was a bonus. We would definitely stay here again.

A large Room with all the amenities for $34.99 per night. Room has floor to ceiling picture windows the better to view the majestic Colorado River Valley and surrounding mountains. Excellent furnishings, coffee service, hair dryer, etc. A little more dollars will get you a mini-fridge included. The Hotel has large pool area with plenty of room to sun. There are three new tennis courts and a Fitness Center. If they had a couple of jacuzzi style hot tubs for the weary traveler it would move them closer to excellent. The Hotel has many restaurants. Most in house are OK but could be better. Patti and Debra A. were outstanding employees in the Cafe Aquarius. The buffet is very reasonable and is in a large room overlooking the Colorado River. Even if you don't gamble, get a player card from the casino which will give you 10% off in all in house Restaurants. The Hotel has two towers of rooms. The California Tower is for folks over 21. No kids allowed there. So, it is nice and quiet. And, it also very near the parking Garage for ease of access. Get rooms as high up as possible for better views. Have rooms facing the pool in the California Tower for better views. Arizona Tower would probably want a North Facing Room for the same reason. Suites are very reasonable priced. They either face the River or the Mountains.Suites with Mountain Views are considerably less expensive. Inexpensive gasoline is available across the River (Arizona Side) at Sam's Club. There is a small airport nearby for general aviation. This hotel caters to middle class Americans. It is not like Vegas were middle class Americans are no longer welcome. You will not see many rude International Jet Setters here. Be prepared to hear other guests and hotel employees wish you a "good morning" and actually mean it. If you ask for a Wake Up call and do not answer your phone, the Hotel will send Security up to see if you are OK. That's good service! There are many good shows in town at prices far below the shows in Vegas. This was my third stay at the Aquarius and we will go back.

Room Tip: California Tower for parking Access and no Kids. High up on North Side of either tower for views an...

We haven't been to Laughlin for years, but decided to overnight there while exploring Rt. 66. We chose the Aquarius because of the reviews on Trip Advisor, and they are well earned. The room was clean, and spacious. The slots were fun and there is a great choice of restaurants.

Room Tip: I don't think there is a bad room in the house because of the way the windows are slanted to giv...

We spent from 10/8/2013 - 10/16/2013 at the Aquarius Resort Casino in Laughlin. This was the second straight year that we stayed there and the results are basically the same as the first time. We arrived in the valet parking at 2:00 PM and we were in our our by 2:20 with our baggage being delivered. We were on the 8th floor of the California Wing with a view of the tennis courts and the Colorado River. We had a queen double and the room was fine. There was no wi-fi unless you wanted to pay $12.95 a night. How ever wi-fi was available in the food court and the new coffee/wine shop, "DUET". The wi-fi there was more than adequate and the coffee was good. They also serve wine and have a pastry selection which was pretty extensive and very tempting. My wife and I split a cinnamon coffee roll on day and it was enough for a meal for the two of us. Very good place to visit as it replaced Starbucks.

Not much has changed in the year since we visited. Things were pretty status quo. There were some new slot machines but most of the video poker inventory was the same. The gaming table were fine and the dealers and pit bosses were personable.

People who visit Laughlin should not compare it to Las Vegas. It isn't. It doesn't pretend to be. It is a small area for people that want to get away for a gambling vacation that doesn't have all the glitz and expense of it's northern neighbor. The clientele during the week is pretty much seniors. The thing that Laughlin has going for it is the affordability of the hotels and restaurants. If you want luxurious surroundings, go to Las Vegas along with all the gourmet meals. If you want affordable accommodations and relatively plain food, then Laughlin might be the place for you.

We used to be regular visitors to LV but now we prefer Laughlin. Probably because gambling is gambling, no matter where you are, however your money lasts long in Laughlin.

Our room was okay - upgraded to River View when the King Panorama room I'd booked was not available. In fact, there were zero non-smoking King rooms available, so we ended up with 2 queens. And free buffet to make up for the switch.
Food was good.
I doubt that we'll be back, would rather drive the extra hour and a half to Vegas.

Checking in was a very pleasant experience. Elevators were very fast. Our room had a very good view of the river. The beds are not as comfortable as they use to be. The bedding was very thin, with an even thinner blanket. When we were walking back from the Prime Rib Room at the Riverside we ran into a family of Skunks outside of the Aquarius on the river walk.

Room Tip: All of the rooms have a river view.

Such a great location with a price to match! Can't beat the upgrade price with a view of the river after earning free nights with their players program. Catch the river ferry to take a ride up the river or enjoy the river walk on foot (for exercise or to visit other busnesses ;). Good choices of places to eat within the hotel if not wanting to venture outdoors. Outlet mall across the street - movie theater - In N Out Burger a short walk away!

Room Tip: End of halls at opposite end of elevators - river views.
