“Remodeled rooms, great pool and good service.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 2 June 2014 via mobile

Stayed here for several days after Memorial weekend. From check in to check out it was very pleasant. I am a big swimmer so a clean pool, spa and environment is very important. Well, it was. A nice size pool with smart construction where there was some shade and some sun. Large umbrellas and plenty of lounge chairs made it so nice to have a place to lay out. The water was super clean and with a good temperature. Same with the jacuzzi. I swam each day for several hours. The water was cleaned daily from the palm tree leaves and you could totally see that. Very comfortable. The surface around the pool was also clean. Not uneven at all. Some pool decks or surfaces are a mess due to age and heat. Not here. Clean and nice.
The cafeteria is next to the pool so I could get refreshments quick and simple.
The room was remodeled and clean. Again, that's a must for me. Housekeeping was doing a great job. Kudos to them!:)! Plenty of parking around the hotel and parking structure. Also a lot of good slot machines to play on in the casino. Tables were ok as well. The service was very good with a super friendly staff. I had a very relaxing stay and I will be back for sure.

I have been coming to the Edgewater for over 25 years and it keeps getting better. They have recently renovated all the rooms in the Sedona Tower and they are GREAT!!! The casino has everything you need. The Restaurants are very good. It is in the middle of everything. Close walk to all other casinos in Laughlin. This is the place to stay in Laughlin!!

Room Tip: Get a room on a high floor for a great view.

There are some not so pleasant issues happening at the Edgewater. For one, it's pretty run down, has a funny smell and doesn't have the dining options the other casinos offer. They recently (in the last couple of years) have renovated 90% of their rooms and the update is modern but done on the cheap. The bed is really just a box spring and it's as if they overlooked the problems in the bathroom entirely. How weird to redo everything but the one area of the room people love to see upgrades done the most.

The plus side? Location, prices, games and atmosphere. There always seems to be something going on at the Edge. Which makes for a fun experience as is everyone is enjoying themselves with drinks, games and the excitement of being away from the daily grind.

Also, the idea of charging people for Wifi is just ridiculous. The Edgewater is not the only place to up-charge it's just the one place that is the least friendly about accommodating the needs of it's tech savvy customers.

I've visited the Edgewater and Colorado Belle since they were brought to the area. I make them my, almost, sole visiting's. The water, the peace, the friendliness, the comfort...I get them all. Fun and freedom. They are great.

Room Tip: Go for a river view.

Stayed one night in the sedona tower on the 24th floor. These rooms are newly remodeled and look quite nice. The bed was too firm for me and the pillows were way too thick, made it hard to sleep. Other than this the room was fine.

Casino action is slow but the drink service very good, which helped make up for the poor payout.

I tried the dinner buffet, $12.99 and opens at 3:30pm. Good selection of American, Mexican and Italian dishes. The quality was better than home town buffet but that's about all I can say about it.

Room Tip: don't get a room next to the elevators or its Swoooosh, swoooosh all night long.

I booked this hotel as the location looked to be great and it was. The room was big, clean, recently renovated & had a great view. However, I was not prepared for the smokers littered amongst the gaming tables & other games.

When I booked, nowhere did it say that smoking was acceptable in the public areas inside the building.

All of the public areas stank like a stale ash tray. I accept that this may be a draw for some, but for me, I couldn't wait to leave & gambled with all of $1. There was a no smoking area, but there were less than a quarter of the games & the area still smelt of stale smoke.

If you are a non smoker, I'd avoid this place as it is truly vile smelling.

We're in Laughlin pretty often, but it's been almost a year since we stayed at the Edgewater. Our room in the Sedona Tower this time had been remodeled, and it shows. Nice little 32" flat screen TV, new style bedding, and best yet a new air conditioner that was efficient AND quiet too. Crowds seemed to be thin and we weren't sure if nearby rooms were occupied, but if they were, it was also very quiet. Heard no other occupants on a Thursday evening. Pleasant check in at the front desk too, and video check out in the room made departure a breeze.
