“Good trip March 4-8”
Reviewed 8 March 2014

We came here on a junket from Fort Wayne. Here is a little look into what to expect.
1) Check In: No issues....... it was fast and easy. They have regular check in, Platinum check in, and the very nice Diamand check in
2) Staff: We had no issues with any of the staff at the hotel or from the dealers at the casino. They were all very friendly and very easy to interact with. 2 thumbs up for the staff.
3) Room: The bed got a 2 thumbs down. We felt like someone had kicked the crap out of us every morning when we woke up. Not very comfortable. The rest of the room was very acceptable. The hotel does show signs of the years that it has on it, but still very comfortable.
4) Pools. Did not go to the pools, but they looked very nice.
5) Beach. No life guard on duty at this time of the year, but the water is so cold you wouldn't want to go swimming anyway. It looks like there would not be anywhere to swim even if a guard was on duty due to the no swimming floating signs are in waist deep water. Still a cool little beach on the river. Plenty of ducks to watch while sitting on the beach.
6) Food. Check out my reviews on the Range, Beach and Baja restaurants.
Overall review: I will return in the future. A renovation of the hotel would be nice to see in the future. At least change the beds if nothing else. Biggest plus to this hotel...The Range Restaurant.

Room Tip: A room over looking the river

We stayed at Harrah's for 4 nights. Although the hotel is dated, we still really enjoyed our stay. The outdoor property is beautiful, located right on the Colorado river. Everyone is very friendly and acts glad to be there. We had a room in tower 2 on the 6th floor. Room was spacious and worked well for what we needed, it however could use a facelift along with the hallways. Elevators were pretty fast, and the Beach Café, Starbucks, McDonalds, and Cinnabon were all great choices. The Range steakhouse was absolutely fantastic! The buffet, not so much. Will return in the future!

One of the best choices on the river. Beautiful hotel compared to most in Laughlin, Non smoking casino and wonderful buffet. The best part about this hotel is the two pools and the actual beach on the river. Most hotels in Laughlin just have a stairway to the water no beach. Harrah's went out of their way and have a full sandy beach with chairs umbrellas and lifeguards. This is a blast in the summer but if the river is a bit much you can hit the pools they have a family pool for those with kids but have a 21 and over pool with poolside bar and music for those that want to leave the kids at home !!! One downside is the drinks and buffet are a little on the pricey side but the food is good. The hotel staff is great at helping you make your stay enjoyable. I have stayed here many times but once they had a problem with the pump in the pool for a day. I went in and just said I was disappointing because the water is why you go to Laughlin. To make it up to us they moved us up to the top floor Suites at no extra charge. Amazing huge room with incredible view. Thats going out of their way !!!

Stayed at Harrah's while playing at a senior men's softball tournament that was sponsored by Harrah's. The room was large with 2 beds as requested. There was 2 drawers in the bedside table for us to use as well as a tiny closet that was shared with an ironing board. I really disliked the fan and light in the bathroom are all on the same switch, which is very loud and annoying. There is only a small table to put a laptop on. Would suggest putting a dresser on the long wall to give more counter space as well as storage. No refrigerator, microwave, or coffee maker. Does have a hair dryer. Needs more than 2 sets of towels. The food was very so-so and forgettable. The slots are very unfriendly too. Would recommend having a guest amenities book in the room like other hotels do...

This was our 3rd family reunion in Laughlin in as many years, and thought that Harrah's would be cleaner and fresher than the other 2 we stayed before...
NOT so...way in need of a coat of paint and new carpet, and cleaner rooms.
Sink plunger was broke, reported it...no one seemed to care.
Nasty things behind the bed, when we needed to pull it out when we needed access to the 2 outlets in the whole room!!
There has to be better in town ...somewhere...
We paid $50 one night and $60 the other!!! that is not cheap for Laughlin...
Parking is another issue...we came with a 4x4 HD pickup....can't get in the garage, too high...and the only other place to park was a 1/2 mile hike uphill...
Look at your rooms before you buy

Room Tip: There is an adult tower, which does not allow kids...if you are in need of more quiet...I would look...

When you pay $26 for a "deluxe" room, you don't expect much. And given some of the reviews I was a little leery. But Harrah's got the job done. At the deep discount prices, I actually booked two rooms, so the kids could have their own. A good move for mom and dad.
The rooms were surprisingly spacious, very clean; fairly basic but far from Spartan. We had a nice view of what constitutes the "strip in Laughlin, along with the Colorado River.
We had dinner at the Beach Café (yes, the hotel actually has an ersatz beach along the riverfront) for serviceable fare that would not be out of place at an Applebee's or Friday's. Breakfast was at the McDonald's inside the hotel, by far the cheapest and quickest of options, though still a bit more than you'd pay outside a hotel.
With a family, Laughlin really isn't a place to linger. We used it as a cheap stopover between Palm Springs and Vegas. From that perspective, Harrah's more than got the job done.

Room Tip: Ask for a river view or you're bound to be able to watch the activity from one of the parking lo...

Stayed at Harrah's 2/24 and 2/25. We have stayed here many times over the past 5 years. This year was a disappointment. The property is beginning to show it's age with crumbling balastrades on the steps down from the casino to the beach, the concrete rails are cracking, and just looking run down. The room was just as sorry, if not worse. Stained carpeting, furniture, peeling wallpaper, just run down. We had requested a coffee maker at check in at 4 pm and then made a call at 7:30 pm and again at 8:30 pm. Finally got it at 9 pm. Maid service not much better. Bed not completely made, coverlet left on the floor, pillows just tossed on the bed, trash on the floor. Complaining did no good. We don't plan on staying here again, there are better options on Casino Drive.

Room Tip: Stay away from Central Tower fourth floor.
