Had lunch here. Agree with most of the previous reviewers regarding friendliness, food, service and atmosphere, all of which were excellent. However, there appears to be an abundance of flies in the bar and restaurant area, which is quite discomforting when eating. Maybe a pub for visiting in the winter.

Stayed at this B&B with my wife, as we were attending a party nearby and needed some overnight accommodation.
We took the room with en-suite facilities. It was very clean and well presented with a large bathroom.
The pub downstairs is charming - We could have sat there all day drinking and chatting.
The staff are excellent - Very friendly without being overbearing. There is also a restaurant on-site but we didn't use this as we had made other plans. The morning breakfast was excellent - all cooked fresh to order with local ingredients.
We arrived back at our room just before 11:45pm. Be aware that there is some noise from the bar downstairs until around midnight. Not an issue for us but might be a concern for those needing an early night.
The bed in our room was a little uncomfortable - in need of a new mattress, but didn't stop me getting some wine induced slumber!
I would recommend this place - clean, charming, cheap, excellent breakfast and great staff. Loses a star for the lumpy and creaky bed! :-)

I can't comment on the accommodation as we only popped in for lunch after a pleasant trip to Sheffield Park Gardens. The food was lovely. Freshly prepared to order. A good selection of beers and ciders on tap too. Will definitely return.

Stayed for two nights over Easter. 200 year old cottages converted to this Olde Worlde Inn. We stayed in the ensuite room and it was spacious and extremely clean. Ate in the restaurant one evening and the food was most enjoyable, one critisism - large portions, far too much for me to finish, but that is a good critisism :-) Also although we only had cereal and toast for breakfast, (the offer of a fried breakfast was there but we declined) there was plenty and the toast kept coming :-)
The hosts were very friendly and helpful - nothing was too much trouble.
This Inn is tucked away in a very small village, (overlooking lovely green fields-no roof tops in sight) . We stayed here to go to Plumpton Races and it was an ideal choice. Will definately stay again next time we go to Plumpton. Highly recommended.

Lovely old inn, there are 2 b& b rooms above the pub. Rooms are both a good size, very clean and comfy, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. And the full English breakfast was wonderful!

Highly recommended.
