“Incredible fun for the toddler/pre-schooler in your life!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 24 June 2014

This place has an abundance of wonderful, safe, educational interactive exhibits and equipment for children to explore! In addition, there is a kitchen/snack bar area where you can take your own lunch or dinner, store it in the refrigerators if you wish, and then enjoy when you are ready for a break in the very nice and well equipped self-serve kitchen. There is also a parent-baby room that is gorgeous and tranquil for those with little ones. An extremely family friendly place that your children will love exploring!

“Something for kids of all ages!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 10 April 2014

My family recently spent the day at the Discovery Museum in Reno. There is free parking in an adjacent lot and metered street parking. Our Ft. Lauderdale Discovery Museum membership card got us in free. My 8 and 10 year old boys stayed busy for over 5 hours. There is so much to do there. The only reason we left was because they close at 5:00 and we ran out of time. If your child enjoys wood-working, they have a lab where kids can use drills, saws and screw pieces together. It closes at 4:00 so go there early if that is part of your plan. There are various rooms on two levels that have everything from history, earthquakes, building, climbing, problem solving, art, electronics, etc. There were kids there of all ages enjoying themselves. There is also a snack area with food and drink machines. The restrooms were also very clean. Their gift shop is near the entrance, but off to the side so you aren't forced to walk through it. We've been to several discovery museums in our travels and I highly recommend this one.
