We recall the days when Harrah used to stand among the premiere Hotel Casinos of the land. I regret to say those days are far gone. This location is emblematic of the decay in quality and value. People are still coming in hoards to play, but the quality is lackluster. I would not recommend it.

If your a local you get half off on the buffet and the shows at Sammys. It's a good deal. I usually take my family or friends when they visit from our of town.

I've been to casinos all over the United States. This definitely has to be one of the worst. The action at the table games was uninspiring and they have very few tables to offer. The machines are ridiculous. I don't think they have a slot machine/video gaming machine that is newer than 3 years old. I guess it doesn't really matter if they're not going to pay you anything anyway. The live stage music wafting through the casino on a friday night was worst than most high school karoke contests. There were not that many people there either. Overall, just a terrible experience.

Heavy rain and snow caused the casino roof to leak making some slot machines unplayable. We still enjoyed playing those machines that weren't roped off. We did not stay at this property, instead we stayed at a timeshare.

Harrah's is one of the casino's in Reno with deep roots. Bill Harrah was a founding father of the business and over time and with many ownership changes, his influence has been diluted. The current buildings were built during his time and have been continually updated and refreshed. The Steakhouse is one of the best in the city and they do have a nice collection of restaurants. The East tower rooms could use some remodeling.
