People were very nice. Security was always there. Nice building for our conference. There were homeless around the building.

It's a nice events center. It was spacious and clean, and most of the seats were good seats for the concert. Acoustics were decent and though we walked, there was plenty of parking aorund.

We went to Reno Events Center. They hold regular events there from Sports to Concerts to Special events. Its close to Reno's downtown casino Area.

Both handicap parking spots were a long way from the building. Entrants with van loads of equipment to carry in were forced to make several very long trips to unload their vehicles. It would have been nice if placarded vehicles had been permitted to use the loading docks to load and unload.

It was very nice of the security personnel to take the time to capture my delinquent rabbit after we had left for the evening and place him back in his carrier. He is a grand champion, and his loss would have been devastating for my small rabbitry. The staff who captured him have my eternal gratitude and, I hope, not too many permanent scars. He can be somewhat irritable when he is tired and scared.

We attended a concert at the Reno Events Center and discovered many flaws with the facility. When you enter the lobby area, there is not enough room to handle the crowd. People standing in multiple lines purchasing drinks are blocking people trying to get back to the arena entrance and causing lots of bumping and jostling around. Lots of beer gets spilled from this design flaw. There are only two main entrances to the arena area. If you are sitting anywhere near the stage end, then you must walk all the way to the very back of the arena to exit. Not a big deal if you aren't in a hurry to get out but I would hate to be in there if there was some kind of emergency. When the lights turn off for the show to begin, its difficult for people to see where the seat sections are so lots of people are wandering around lost while the show is going on. There are no section # signs on the sides to help guide people to were they need to go. There are not enough ushers to help people find their seats. Even when people were coming in a half hour late, they were not getting any help from ushers and forced to use their cell phones as a flashlight to find where to sit. The ushers were also not doing a good job of keeping people who were sitting far away from the stage from just walking up the isles and standing in front of people who paid to be closer to the stage. The ushers were also not checking squatters who were sitting in unoccupied handicap seats. My final gripe is that the arena has unnecessary elevated walkways in front of the people sitting in row 1 of all the side sections. So people coming and going throughout the entire performance (and there are lots of 'em) are interrupting the view of everyone in rows 1 thru 3 of every section all the way front to back on both sides of the arena. They could avoid this annoyance by having people walk at floor level below the sight lines of people sitting on the sides like many other arenas do but for some reason they didn't design this building that way. None of this would prevent me from seeing another show there but next time I will make sure I'm sitting in row 4 or above so I can watch the show uninterrupted.
