In Reno for Husbands 49th Bday and my first time. Had a good time, ate at the restaurants in SL/El Dorado/CC, all were pretty good. Mexican meh, Cafe good for breakfast, Huge rave to Sterlings@Silver legacy. Morgan our waiter was Excellent, he was very kind and accomodating, he knew about Gluten Free Items. Excellent dinner, atmosphere, wine, dessert, coffee. It made for a very Happy 49th Bday and Fourth of July! Saw great fireworks show from the room, nice bed, tub a little dated, not good housekeeping. Had a late checkout on the 5th and got locked out of the room, that was not fun and a waste of our time, slow checkin. Slots tight in all 3 places. Good perks at the SL if you have their card you can get money off meals, misc. items.

Room Tip: on the 34th floor towards end units

Was in town for a convention and stayed at the Silver Legacy. Reminds me of the Golden Nugget downtown on Freemont street in Las Vegas. Property is directly connected to Circus Circus and Eldorado I believe. You can walk 6 blocks and never leave the properties. They are seemless, almost do not realize you are entering another casino.
Room was nice and newly decorated, incredible view of the mountains, clean and spacious.

Room Tip: High up has great views.

Our room was quiet, clean, good value and non-smoking. Mattress was wonderful and comfortable. Buffet was closed ate at cafe food was good. Easy to get around the hotel. The check-in desk clerk gave my husband wrong advice about secure internet service. Luckily, he could use our connection that was private. Hotel is not a secure network and the night desk clerk apologized for the inconvenience.
Unfortunately, that part of Reno where the hotel is located has gotten kind of seedy and don't recommend walking at night.

Room Tip: Nonsmoking towards the back away from elevators.

Stayed in a corner spa suite. Thank goodness it was for only one night! Hotel and the room are starting to seriously show their age. A/C rattled and shook all night as well as dumping the smell of cigarette smoke into our non-smoking room, door was hard to close and locked us in for 10 minutes when we were trying to leave. Valet parking and Bell service are their usual hit and miss proposition. Wireless internet does not work, even after you pay the "upgrade fee". Although we only paid $89 for the room it wasn't worth it. Spend the extra money on the Peppermill or the Nugget!
