Our experience at Red Hawk Golf Club left us very upset. They were not very friendly when we checked in. My wife was joining myself and our 24 year old nephew. She was only riding in the cart as she just had shoulder surgery 6 weeks ago. She is a 6 handicap and is very well aware of golf etiquette. She was told by the starter as we were getting ready to t off she could not come along unless she paid $20.00. Really? My wife has had numerous ortho surgeries and has tagged along before, we have never experienced this rude request. She was left behind in a city she has never been too. We will never play this course again and will not reccomend this course to any of our friends or family!

We were supposed to play the lakes course, but the winds were up around 80 mph that day. We called the course and they recommended we not come out as the carts were bouncing around in the parking lot and the employees couldn't even walk outside in the wind. Later that day we were informed we would still have to pay for the round we didn't play, because they said they sent out 100 people so we could have played. Total B.S...No one could have played in that wind (confirmed by other courses in the area.) The next day we played the hills course (we were the only ones out there) and received the absolute worse service we've ever had at a golf course. To top it off, we rate the course itself about a 6 out of 10. Go to D'Andrea or Lakeridge instead. This place sucks.

loved your golf course - played my normal golf game - drove the ball into the rough many times - loved the sand bunkers, there was just to many of them - hope to play better next time - the weather was fantastic, 87 degrees and no wind - the welcome I got there was also great!

I am a resident at Wingfield Springs (right at Red Hawk), but most frequently play at D'Andrea just up the road. Both are great courses, but the service and facilities are better at D'Andrea (it is a Troon golf course), and they offer a variety of rates, including a late 9 hole rate, which is good for us folks who like to unwind after work.
Red Hawk does not offer a 9 hole rate, instead making you fork over $55 to play the late rate (who wants to cram 18 holes of golf into such a short period of time?).

Red Hawk needs to look at its rates and offer some incentives for locals and residents to play there. There are new golf courses opening all over Reno/Sparks! Otherwise the course is OK.
