We found like-minded people to talk with here...we visited on a quiet evening in the winter...the food and entertainment were great as well.

“so so service”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

went in to have a lunch it was on a weekend that Reno had the balloon races so they got busier than they expected and had short handed the crew for the day and then got swamped. the service took over an hour and a half for service and the service at that rate was hurried and quite rude. I complained and they comped the meal. and gave us a coupon for another that we used a couple weeks later. the lunch we went in for was also quite rude and was so so service they cater to the sports watching people and sling booze rather than take care of the customers there for a meal. we have not been back since. I can buy the beer at the store so dont need to go in to the restaurant any more.

“Best beer in town”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 April 2014

We've been going to "Great Basin" in Sparks ever since they opened (20 years) and are still impressed. The food is way above average, but diners have got to remember this is a brew pub. The location in Reno has the same menu but offers some of the best pizza around. The jalapeno stuffed crust is GREAT.
The Servers Tom and Bonda employ are some of the most friendly around, they really have done a good job with both of their locations. As a matter of fact we are going tonight for "Tight Wad Tuesdays, green shirt Tuesday.

“Faster than a speeding bullet”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 April 2014

My wife and I stopped in here for dinner and an "Ichy" beer (Ichthyosaur India Pale Ale), not the slightest bit ichy, but very tasty. I had the Shepherds pie and Tracey had the Brewhouse Cuban Sandwich, both of which were superb, but back to the title of this review. The service was top notch and "Faster than a speeding bullet" the waitress was friendly and there is a nice relaxed atmosphere with a wide range of ages eating and drinking here. If you are in the Reno Sparks area and want a well priced meal and a good selection of beers the Great Basin Brewing company is well worth a visit.

This place is fun on a summer or fall evening. Great beers and an excellent and eclectic menu . You cannot go wrong with any of the salads here.
