“Nice & Pretty”

We stayed at the hotel next to the lake. We could see the lake from our window. It was really lovely and nice. Watched the sailboats and the birds. Also the baby ducks. Very nicely kept. Very clean.

“Reintroduce Yourself To Sparks, Nevada.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 29 June 2014

This little lake is great. It's quite clean and the water is beautiful. And although it's small, you saw people doing stand-up paddle-boarding and canoeing. There's a beautiful blue gazebo there, nice lawns, good walkways, mini-sailboat launches, and some upscale apartments overlooking it all. Sometimes you see seagulls and cormorants that made their way from other Nevada lakes, or down from the mountains or from the coast far away. It's all part of the revamping of the area which, as other reviews probably told you, includes new outlet stores and the remarkable Scheels Sporting Goods Store that has to be seen to be believed. So the Sparks Marina really makes the whole effort there seem grounded and warm. Oh yes, and few roads over is a very large and complex water-park too. Then across the freeway, a large, classy hotel and casino. Give Sparks another look, but see The Marina first.
