The Resort is located in a secluded area very far off, which makes this destination very private and serene. We stayed there just for a night, the food was OK
.There are ostriches around the propert
We went on a drive aaround - Lake Bogoria is a few kilometers from the Resort and it is quite nice. The "hot springs" are a geological wonder, there were many flamingos on the lake - was a beautiful sight. We got some good pictures.

And finally, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Overall, we had a wonderful stay and would recommend a weekend at the Resort.

I spent two nights there as part of a bigger team.
we had gone for a team building event.

the place is beautiful
the spa pool is lovely with warm naturally heated water.

The service was super with polite staff.

Room Tip: The cottages have a scenic view of the surrounding hills

No compaints at all. Good, clean, tidy, bar was a little slow maybe, overall very comfortable. Food not exactly on the imaginative side but have had much much worse. Fine for a night or 2, think you might go mad if you stayed any longer!

Room Tip: Ask for one of the newer cottages away from the main building i.e. up behind the pool. Check shower...

Went here for a day out to use the swimming pools and have some Sunday lunch. The spa pool was lovely and warm, but the showers were grotty. "Cold" pool - it's still warm, but not as hot as the spa pool - was great and the showers were better, but still not as clean as you'd like.
However, the big disappointment was the food and the service provided by the staff.
We arrived early in the morning and ordered our food so that it would be served at 12.30 as we had to get back to work by late afternoon. There were 5 of us in our party and the food was late, it wasn't particularly hot and arrived covered in cling film so it was steamy and my "roast" potatoes were soggy. I'd ordered goat cutlets with rosemary sauce - no sauce arrived, but when we complained, we were sent some onion gravy, which arrived just as we were about to finish eating. My friend had "whole" tailapia, but there was hardly any flesh on it. It was as if when the fish had been cleaned, they took half the flesh as well as the innards. She was given a couple of fillets as well, to make up for it, but the attitude of the staff was very surly when we made a complaint. We also had a 10 minute gap between the first and last meals arriving, despite the fact that the kitchen had had nearly 3 hours to prepare our meal.
We also had to wait a ridiculous amount of time for drinks - half an hour for a "fresh ground coffee", which, when it finally arrived, was a jug of milk, a small pot of warmish water and some sachets of Nescafe instant.
Not good enough!
I would go there again to go swimming, but no way will I ever be dining there again.

Room Tip: Go somewhere else, unless you can self-cater.

Lovely setting and very serene. The food is okay and so is the staff. But the pool is quite messy and the changing rooms not very comfortable.Atleast there are a few sporting activities which is commendable.I would say the outer part of the resort is quite attractive

Lake Bogoria Spa Resort must be avoided at all cost. It's a big rip off - the prices are those of luxury hotels and lodges in Kenya, but the service and rooms are very low standard - cheap furniture falling apart in the rooms, the rooms are old and falling appart (even the renovated cottages are falling apart), the food is very poor, and the service non existent. The management is completely disorganized. We booked and paid our rooms over 2 months in advance, and when we arrived were told that we were not on the guest list. We had to battle for hours to get our cottages (they tried to give us cheap noisy rooms right above the reception instead), and even though our payment had been received by the hotel 2 months before, the reception staff tried to make us pay again because they were not aware that our payment had been made. So if you cannot avoid going there, make sure you carry your bank statement with you to be able to prove your payment. A good alternative to staying in this overly priced low standard hotel, is to camp in Lake Bogoria National Park. It will be a lot cheaper, and you will be able to watch the birds on the lake very early in the morning.
