Formerly at the Bonanza, this mother-son duo brings ten plus years of restaurant experience to life at the historic and beautiful Cider Factory in Virginia City. Enjoy meals on the relaxing patio, surrounded by leaves and blossoms, or enjoy a meal in the rustic dining hall which was once a wine/cider cellar! This restaurant is a little away from all the others so unless it's recommended you're unlikely to find it. Sadly there were very few people dining but I can imagine that when full it would have a great atmosphere. The food was good and well cooked and the service also was excellent.

Our only concern was that one of our party ordered a pasta dish and when it arrived it looked as if balsamic had been drizzled onto the plate, this looked very attractive. But....it wasn't balsamic but chocolate,... not described on the menu and our friend is very very allergic to chocolate. If he hadn't double checked what it was we could have been on our way to hospital.! The meal was immediately replaced but this should act as a warning that all ingredients should be on the menu.

Thank you for the comment. We learn from every guest we have. Your group was great to have in the dining room, and very easy going. Since your visit we verbalized the items on each plate to prevent any possible mistakes. Hopefully we will see you again soon. Thank you

We visited this excellent find at the recommendation of the b&b we were staying at in late July this year.. The food was outstanding, the service exceptional. The dishes prepared were so painstakingly prepared by a chef devoted to his craft. It was obvious with every bite. The salmon melted in your mouth. His partner who was waiting on us gave very visual descriptions of the menu and she was right on the mark. The ambience is quite fitting for the food served. We had the opportunity to meet two travellers from Switzerland and enjoyed a memorable evening. Don't eat in the main part of town. Come up the hill to this wonderful experience. You won't be disappointed

We visited Virginia City and our hotel keeper told us about this place. If you are in Virginia City, NV this in one place you need to visit! This is truly a gem in a frontier town! The food is all fresh and locally grown/obtained. The staff is just outstanding! There is a lovely courtyard and dining room. The chef comes out and talks with the patrons :). Believe me, you will not be sorry!

One of the most original surviving stone buildings in Virginia City... i was there once and saw people from Finland to Australia to France to the UK. The chef is from Scotland and whips up addicting steaks and other treasures. (The waitress and bartender were too pretty for words, but I digress). Go sit in the courtyard during the warm weather, and you'll feel you're in Napa. Check on times they're open in the winter months.

What a pleasant surprise and great staff. You feel right at home the minute you get there
and sit down. We enjoyed the patio and nice atmosphere that surrounds the restaurant.
This place is very quaint and enjoyable as the staff is ready to help and serve. Even the guests
were upbeat and nice. This place is clean and neat as we had a great time.
