We were looking for an overnight stay in the Bartlett area to break a journey from Bar Harbor to Burlington. This motel was convenient and the accommodation fitted the bill. The advertised wifi was not working, however. Reception was very far from the room, and we could take the car, but it seemed too far to go for the coffee on offer! We were a bit late, and it was pouring with rain, so we were pleased to shelter here.

Room Tip: Didn't see the other rooms, it was raining hard.

Should have checked TripAdvisor first. Booked after looking online. Checked in before checking out the cabin that we reserved. We will NEVER do that again. We will, henceforth, ALWAYS check the room first. Felt like we rousted the innkeeper out of bed in the early afternoon when we checked in, she was wearing pajama bottoms. Cabin promised a gas fireplace. Was there, but didn't work and the innkeeper had the audacity to tell my husband that "I told your wife that it didn't work." SHE DID NOT. The whole atmosphere of the place was a little creepy, to be honest. Felt like it had been abandoned. We left and found another place to stay just down the road - major sigh of relief.

We booked on expedia, but it wasnt set up correctly so our card was charged on arrival - with extra $15 put on top. Looks like they are passing on expedia fees to the customer... Room is basic motel style. Clean, wifi works. But our welcome left a bad taste, customer is not always right here.

All I can say is yucky.... We went to Bartlett early August for a long weekend and this was the ONLY place that had rooms available as it was a last minute trip. Now I see why. The carpets were filthy dirty, one of the beds had a faint odor of vomit, the paint was peeling, the towels and bedding were old and worn, there was hair in the sink when we arrived, the buildings look tired and run down, even the pool was cold and not cleaned. It is too bad because this is a nice location and with some renovations and tlc the place could possibly be decent. Go elsewhere - there are much better options in the area.

Very disappointed! Carpets are dirty, paint is peeling on the building as is the roof. Pool is ice cold, not heated as advertised. AC has nit been cleaned in sometime. We unfortunately have 2 more nights to go. Will never stay here again

So we spent two nights here while visiting Storyland. If not for tourist attractions and skiing in the area this would be a $40 a night hotel if that...but I guess you pay for location. Doubt I'd ever stay here again...filthy floors, no maid service, free coffee in lobby was obviously watered down to save $$. The room was very big...kinda in an odd way since it was sparsely furnished. The bathroom was clean and the beds were OK. Just felt like some sort of weird trailer that we were sleeping in. AC worked OK, but blew in your face in the bed...I've seen worse, but just not a relaxing place to stay. I kept waiting for something to go wrong. Oh yeah and they apparently supply everyone with their own plunger...maybe that's what I was waiting to go wrong:(

We rented the "chalet" for the weekend and it was like staying in a large dumpster. The place is filthy, broken down, and we got no maid service. Mildew in the shower, uneven floors, everything is peeling, cracking, or falling apart. It was like an abandoned mobile home. I'm surprised it didn't fall down in the middle of the night and kill us all. The bed was awful, the sheets were filthy and felt like they were made of plastic. We were afraid to shower and walk around barefoot. Honestly, you're better off in a tent. Avoid this place like the plague... Actually, the plague probably started here.
