we just stayed at Adair Country Inn & Restaurant couple days ago. It was probably one of the best places to stay in New Hampshire. We checked in around 8 pm after getting stuck in the snow storm for an hour or so. It was probably because of the storm we were the only couple there. Upon arrival, we were promptly greeted and checked in by Laura. We felt very special with our names in a picture frame. Laura also gave us a brief tour and helped us to carry some stuff to our room. She knew we were a little tired and asked whether if we wanted to sleep in a little late the next day before breakfast since we were the only couple there... Breakfast was absolutely delicious with attention to details with yogurt, fruits etc. We didn't have any special request for breakfast but... I'm sure they can almost accommodate your request no matter how difficult you are ... We were very lucky to be the only couple there on the first night and we were treated with utmost respects... YOU ALL HAVE TO GO AND CHECK IT OUT ! DO NOT GO TO SOME BIG CHAINS AS THEY WILL NOT OUT OF THEIR WAY to accommodate you ! THIS IS A PERFECT/ ROMANTIC getaway ! THANK YOU everyone so much for making it a memorial one !

Annie, thanks so much for your review. We're happy you braved the storm to get here. We were fully booked all weekend, but quiet when you were here on Tuesday. The storm would have brought the skiers out in droves. Glad you had a good time in the White Mountains.

This was a present from our daughter and future son-in-law. We had a wonderful time. We went snow shoeing for the first time on the property trails. The place was immaculate! The breakfast was so good- homemade popovers, special fruit and a different main course each day. We were there the two nights it was closed for dinner so sampled some restaurants in the area. We live in Cambridge so are used to really great restaurants but were very happy with our choices. There is a truly exceptional Thai restaurant in Littleton- 5 minutes away.

We brought our dog and boarded him at a local kennel, Littleton Pet Center. It was exceptional and not expensive.

The innkeepers, Kimberly and Barry, were very interesting and we enjoyed talking to them at breakfast and during tea time at 4pm.

We hope to return either with friends or with our family. It was a great retreat.
Bev and John

I purchased three nights at Adair as a Christmas present for my wife. We wanted a day of late winter skiing and, if conditions were appropriate, some snowshoeing. We were lucky with the "polar vortex" paying the northeast a visit over our stay. When you first enter the driveway of Adair you're already feeling the Inn's special welcome. It's a glorious property in the winter and I'm sure the photos on the web site only hint at the glorious nature of the Inn in the summer. We were greeted by Kimberly and were given a tour of the Inn. It's a massive building; very bright and welcoming. Though it is 100 years old it has that grandiose feeling yet it’s updated and pleasantly decorated to reflect today’s influence. And the "dude cave" downstairs is every man's dream with a ~100 year old pool table, granite walls, fireplace, large screen TV with couches and large coffee table. The Keurig machine was a big hit for us downstairs too but not nearly as much as the afternoon tea time with treats. The morning food was delicious and the service exceptional. But it's the host and hostess that really make the place shine. You have to put yourself in their shoes to appreciate what they go through. They are at their guests' mercy from dawn to dusk moving like little robots to be sure everyone is happy and comfortable. What really amazed me was how well they adapted to everyone in their presence. They get people from all over the world and it seems both Kimberly and Barry adapt to an incredulous array of personalities effortlessly. These are the kinds of Innkeepers that everyone hopes for. Go to Adair and you’ll see exactly what I mean. We’ll be back many times I am sure!

Room Tip: The Lincoln room has beautiful front and side views looking over the "wildlife meadow."

My daughters gave my husband and I a trip to the Adair Inn for Christmas. The Inn exceeded our expectations ! Barry and Kimberly spoiled us with great food , wine and witty conversation. Every time we left our spacious , yet cozy room , there would be a treat on out pillow with words of wisdom. Peter and I enjoyed meeting the other quests too. We played pool and had cocktails with some very friendly folks. The snowshoeing was a riot too.. I whole heartedly recommend Adair Inn to anyone who wants to enjoy NH 's great hospitality !

Room Tip: A fireplace comes with some rooms…very nice feature

My husband and I just wanted to get away from it all for a night.
We chose Adair on a recommendation from one of our daughters.
We were not disappointed in any way!
We arrived at the Inn at Tea time, the freshly baked scones were delightful!
Our room was very spacious and bathroom were very nicely decorated.
The attention to detail was evident throughout the inn.
We were very happy to have free internet and no TV in our room. We did enjoy some time spent downstairs in the "Tap room" watching TV with some other guests.
Breakfast was scrumptious! We will be back!

Room Tip: ask for a room with a fireplace!
