“Just a Nice place!”

A great place for a hike in the mountains and then have a four star dinner that same night. Wonderful place for a couple... or a single :-) to relax, unwind and regroup. Friendly staff that make you feel at home.. or better! Wonderful, wonderful views of the New Hampshire mountains that have to be seen to believed... all served up with great cocktails. What can be better?

Nice facade and beautiful landscape, but the hotel was more like a huge train station, customers were rushed through, unfortunately it did not meet the expectations of a top rated hotel. It is not worth spending the money.

Was there for a wedding in May 2014. Building shows some wear and tear around the edges but is a beautiful place in a superb location. Prices are big resort high but I guess that's what you get when you go to the middle of nowhere. Service was excellent and so was the food. Wedding planner did a great job and everything went smoothly.

My family and I visited this resort in winter of 2013. Completed in 1902, the history of Omni Mt. Washington Resort is interesting, the architecture - breathtaking. The 1st floor of the resort features many walk-through areas where people can learn more about the history of Omni and its surrounding town of Bretton Woods.

In the winter, the resort offers a unique variety of activities for guests and for visitors of all ages. Skiing, snow tubing and even dog sledding are amongst those offered. In warmer months, zip-lining (can't wait to try this!), golf, and swimming are some available activities. There is also an on-site spa. My family and I took a sleigh ride across the grounds in the evening, which was lovely, then followed it with some hot cocoa and appetizers at The Cave. The Cave was my favourite part of our visit, described as a "prohibition-era speakeasy" (omnihotels.com), the walls of this room feature beautiful original stonework; the atmosphere is like walking into the past. The night we were there, the was an enjoyable live band playing.

Overall, you'll never see another stunning, exceptional resort like Omni Mount Washington Resort. When you visit, be prepared to take plenty of amazing photos!

Stayed here mid-April for a few nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. A complimentary wine and cheese plate was delivered to our room which was a wonderful surprise. Be advised that during off season some amenities are not available such as the outdoor pool and main dining room. Very disappointed because we were not advised of this upon booking. We were contacted via phone a week before our arrival so we could make other arrangements for our dining reservation due to the main dining room being closed other than breakfast. We dined at the Bretton Arms for dinner as well as breakfast and it was fabulous. Breakfast in the main dining room was very good and service was terrific. The weather was unseasonably warm, didn't even need a sweater! Golf course wasn't open yet, so maybe next time. Views were spectacular, weather was great, service was terrific. Indoor pool was warm, indoor hot tub was relaxing and not crowded. Utilized the shuttle service which was very quick to come and take us to Bretton Arms for breakfast and dinner. Room was very comfortable, overlooking the backside/fire pit/golf course/Mt. Washington. Had a manicure/pedicure and it was average. Purchase their signature body lotion, it smells heavenly. Love their small gift shop on-site,purchased a couple of trinkets. Disappointed the silver shop was not open, it is managed privately. Would go again but definitely not in the off-season. Want all amenities I paid for to be available. Definitely worth the money, it's an extravagant splurge for a very memorable stay.

Room Tip: Overlooking the fire pit, top floor so you can't hear people above you. Larger room (upgrade) i...

Everyone should stay here, not because it's a great hotel, but because it has a sense of history to it. The hotel has amazing potential and if someone other than Omni was running it, it would be worth the prices they are charging. The service is mediocre, I got the best service from the valet and the maintenance guy. The room service menu is ridiculously unfriendly to vegetarians - would it kill them to put a meatless entree on there? Ended up with a salad that I had to wait 45 minutes for. The rooms are clearly old, and not always in a good way. So stay here, but only once and never go back.

Room Tip: If you're prone to being chilly, make sure you have a fireplace. The heat is radiant and doesn...

My husband and I visited the Omni Mt. Washington on April for our Anniversary. Our experience was less than stellar. Upon arriving we were put in a room with plywood paneling covering the bottom of the windows to block out the view of the rooftop outside our window. The vanity faced a wall and the vanity mirror was on an opposite wall.

I called the desk and explained it was unsatisfactory and wanted to be reassigned. We were put in a 2nd room that was satisfactory. We had spa treatments scheduled and were told we could order food between the (1 hour between treatments) only to learn after our 2nd treatment that the food service to the Spa ends at 2PM (it was 2:50). The spa attendants were busy behind closed doors talking and not attending to the needs of guests.

The main dining room was closed for reservations so we reserved at Stickneys. Were seated promptly at our reservation time by that was the end of anything prompt. We waited and waited and waited to order and to receive our food. The waiter comped our wine, but we're not big drinkers anyway so it really didn't matter much to us. Not to mention, we were getting wine glass after wine glass on an empty stomach. It was ridiculous. We finally got dinner and it wasn't even hot. By that time (now about 9:05) we were so sick if waiting and full on wine that we just didn't care.

We are not the type of people who complain on site, I really wouldn't have even given them feedback had it not been solicited. I was emailed a survey, contacted by a guest relations person soliciting a time to contact me and she never called me. I did get a call from the spa relations and she sent me a note card giving me 25% off future spa treatments. This place is a 2.5 hour drive from where I live, I don't plan on "popping over there" anytime soon to take advantage of an insulting 25% off an already overpriced spa treatment.

We stay at Omni properties for all of our special occasions. This was very unexpected and we were deeply disappointed by our experience and the lack of follow-through on the part of the management considering. I love this hotel, the history, the significance. I think they need a serious overhaul of management. I certainly hope no one else has the same experience as I did.
