“Great stay”
Reviewed 1 October 2012

We had a great stay at the Henry Whipple House. The house has lots of charm, and Sandra (the owner) made us feel at home. We stayed in the Guest Room, which had a very comfortable king bed and three large windows allowing lots of natural light. We had breakfast downstairs both mornings, and it was delicious. Very gourmet. We were in town for a wedding, but if you are looking for a fall weekend outdoors, the location was perfect for hiking (Cardigan Mountain is nearby). I highly recommend this fabulous B&B.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Guest Room. Big comfortable bed and lots of natural light. There was a private in...

My wife and I just returned from a short vacation in Northern New England, which started in Maine and ended at the Henry Whipple House. From the moment we arrived Sandra made us feel welcome in a relaxing atmosphere. Our room was clean and beautiful and we were treated, along with all other guests to fresh cookies and soda or water. Each morning we were offered two unique breakfast options to choose. No matter which one you chose, it was absolutely delectable. Sandra and her husband are both accomplished mountain hikers throughout the White Mountains, including Mt. Washington. She is eager to share her information with interested guests. We strongly recommend this property and will be sure to visit again when in the area.

Room Tip: See the Henry Whipple House website for pictures of each room.

My husband and I were so fortunate to have been given the opportunity to stay at the Henry Whipple House this past summer. It is located in a very quaint and quiet town of Bristol, N.H.
If you like comfort, good food and wonderful hospitality, go for a long weekend visit and experience all that this B&B has to offer. Sandra creates such a wonderful atmosphere, her breakfast are delicious and the rooms are spacious and very clean. I felt at home the entire stay and will definately recommend Henry Whiple House to friends and family. Thank You!

The Henry Whipple House is a beautiful and comfortable bed and breakfast. Sandra is a wonderful host who really focuses on each person's needs. Every morning we had heard of her famous breakfast but the actual breakfast out did what we had even expected. She helped our son feel at home and spent time discussing the surrounding sights to see. She takes the time to care about the beautiful Newfound Lake region by having a "green" B&B. The rooms are spacious and well decorated and the rooms all had internet and TV. Sandra also has the Henry Whipple House reservations automated so you can go online and book your stay quickly and professionally. We enjoyed staying at the Henry Whipple House and highly recommend it.

I love this place. Sandra has created a wonderful spot ... welcoming us back, great breakfasts, easy and comfortable to stay, little things that make a difference like cookies, cold drinks and tea always available. She does a great job being 'green' in a way that makes you want to do more.

Thanks!!

The brakes on our van seized on the way back from visiting the Ruggles Mine. We needed repairs and they couldn't be done until the next day. The shop told us there was a B&B up the road. We were so lucky to find this gem, out of the mine! Sandra was very accommodating and the room was beautiful. We had our own bathroom, ac and a very peaceful atmosphere. The breakfast was DELICIOUS and the cats an added bonus. Thank you Sandra for turning a bad situation into something good.

When booking online I am always a little leary until we get to check out the place. This is one B&B that you don't have any worries about! It was perfect and delightful. We stayed in the self-catering suite, so we didn't get to experience the breakfast, but I could tell as we were checking out that it would be wonderful. We wish that we had planned to stay there more nights, so we will have to return even though it is a very long way from Texas.
