“Good new place”
Reviewed 25 August 2014

There are two Mad RIver Coffee Shops. One is the Coffee House. The other is the Coffee Roaster. We happened to hop into the Roaster on opening day, so understood we needed to be a little patient with the staff. During our trip to NH, we came here four times. They have a good menu of sandwiches, paninis, entrees like lasagna etc. Their coffee is very good, probably the best we had on the East Coast. After our first visit, the speed with which the coffee was made increased & the quality of the lattes was better. The first drink I had was about an inch low in the cup because the barista didn't know you need to let soy milk sit for at least 30 seconds after steaming so as to let the foam dissipate (or use a spoon to hold it back as you pour).

Bottom line is the restaurant is good. They are closed on Tues & Wed at the Roaster and open from 11 to 6. We didn't go to the coffee house, so can't speak to the quality of their food / drinks.

“Just what we were looking for! A little trouble finding the place”
Reviewed 18 August 2014 via mobile

This is a great little coffee shop. We had iced coffee and iced mocha with a breakfast wrap. All was very good. The iced mocha was really strong though! They roast there own coffee beans and make a lot of fresh baked goods. Great local shop. The shop is in between two gas stations and is in a white building that it shares with king reality. It's tucked behind a huge king reality sign. Oh and it has nice outdoor seating !

“Good coffee, nice snacks”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

We always take a break here on our way into and out of Waterville Valley. They have a small assortment of pastries (coffee cake, muffins, breakfast sandwiches, sandwiches, etc.) and good coffee. The bathroom's a bit cramped, but at least they've got it. There's seating at assorted tables, including a couple outside. Nice music, newspapers,

“Nice coffee shop”
Reviewed 30 July 2014

This is a small, local coffee shop with great coffee and lots of choices for breakfast. We like to pop in for breakfast and hang out. The vibe is laid back and they play great music and have wifi too.
