“Wonderful!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 9 August 2014

The food, the service, the ambiance - it was all just wonderful! I can't even describe how fabulous my fish entree tasted. And we had service with a smile at our beckoning. It doesn't get any better than that.

“Never had anything less than an exceptional meal here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 4 August 2014

We vacation in New Hampshire every summer and have been going to the Corner House Inn for at least 10 years. During that period we have tried just about everything on the menu, and have never been disappointed. The lobster mushroom bisque is to die for, as is the onion soup gratinee. That's just for starters. Our very favorite entree is the prime rib, which is only served on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. Unless you have a huge appetite, go for the Little Squam cut rather than the Big Squam. The sides are delicious, and the dessert menu is extensive and wonderful. All of this fabulous food is served in a quaint old inn, with pleasant and accommodating waitstaff.

My remarks are about the downstairs, "main" restaurant. Upstairs is a more casual, pub type menu; although we have never eaten upstairs, I gather it is also outstanding as there are always many people there. To say that about a restaurant in such a small town is really saying something.

“Great Food”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 13 July 2014

we did not have reservations, so they suggested upstairs in the pub - I liked it better than downstairs. Comfortable, not too loud, quick service and the food was delicious! Large portions. I must for this area!

“Endless menu choices and very good meals”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 July 2014

The four of us had a wonderful dinner last Saturday night at the Corner House Inn. The Inn is old, with lots of little rooms and the bar is in the foyer! The menu is fairly large and the specials just about double the menu! There were almost too many choices. I had the lazy lobster which was excellent, with pilaf and green veggies. My husband had the meatloaf, with beef, pork and venison and loved it. Our relatives had a seafood mix with linguine (judged to be great) and a special with mushroom raviolis and scallops and an eggplant/tomatoes mix which she loved. We didn't sample desserts (having had a late treat of ice cream) but there were 6 or so that sounded great.

We had made reservations since it was Saturday night but it was surprisingly only half filled. Our server seemed to be new and was overly attentive, to the point of being annoying (refilling our water glasses endlessly when we've taken two sips and wanting to clear the bread multiple times when we were still eating it). Aside from this minor glitch, it was a delightful dinner. Go enjoy!!
