“Wow.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 August 2014

Visited this place with friends and all four of us were amazed. The service, the quality of the food and the attention to detail are out of this world. The fried brussel sprouts are amazing, as well as the Guinness Brats. The Dublin and McBarley burgers are also winners. If you're in Concord, you NEED to stop here.

“Great Place”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 August 2014

The food and drinks were excellent. Steaks were done to perfection. Specialty drinks were great. There is something for everyone, and I had two very picky eaters with us. Everyone was pleased. Our waiter was very attentive and polite. We had a 20 min wait for a table they text you when your table is ready giving us the chance to walk around instead of waiting right there with two impatient kids. The only reason I did not hit excellent is because we had such a long wait for our food, but is was worth the wait and we were on vacation so it was no big deal.

“Great beer selection & excellent food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 19 August 2014

The Hummus was surprisingly good! Tasty bread sticks too. They do something different but I cannot remember what it is. Beer selection was very good and they describe the beers pretty well. Really good fish& chips. Nice meal. My only beef is I seriously doubt that beer was 16 ounces but this is an issue at a number of establishments. The menu and the bill clearly stated pint or 16 ounces and I figure that glass held 14-15 ounces though I admit I could not test the glass to find out what it did hold. Also be aware that you cannot get a made-to-order flight, you only get their choice for a flight. I recommend to all beer bars to offer a customer directed flight.

“Consistently good food, great beer selection”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 12 August 2014

We love the Barley House! Casual, comfortable, with (usually) delicious food and excellent beer. (Normally we're more into wine, but the beers are so good it would be a shame to forego them.) The bread sticks and hummus arrive soon after you sit down - nice touch. Hummus is a bit chunky, but good. The brick chicken is our favorite - so moist and tasty! It's such a big portion we always share it. Service is very good, and staff is knowledgeable.

Beers: Great selection, good explanations so you know what to expect. If you wish, you can select a flight of beers - like a mini-tasting.

The reason I'm not giving the BH 5 stars is that on our last visit, the friend that went with us ordered the portobello sandwich. He barely ate any of it, as it was very bland. However, the waitress noticed and took the item off the bill without us even asking. Clear focus on customer satisfaction.

We love sitting outside when weather permits. Although you're sitting right next to the street, traffic is not bad, and the view of the park and the Capitol is great.

The place just has a nice vibe. We keep coming back for more.
