We meet friends here the other night. Was a beautiful night and we sat on the patio. Place was nicely decorated. Service was prompt , efficient, friendly and knowledgeable. The menu had a wide range of apps and combos .Tried a combo that included rellenos and tamale. Food was delivered in a reasonable time, piping hot and well presented. Food was quite good but did not rise to "special" offerings. Certainly was above average. We will go back and try some more selections

“Old style mexican with a new world flair!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

We took our son and daughter in law to their favorite Mexican restaurant that had opened since we were there last fall. This dinner trip was extremely enjoyable - greeted and seated promptly, chips and salsa adequate for 4 of us, and what a menu! They gave us enough time to find a starting point -- Chimichanga come as two, smaller but tasty, I had beef tips with chosen accompaniments... only regret was not getting black beans to sub for the authentic refried beans. Taco salad was well portioned to eat and enjoy variety of greens and toppings, and the Carnitas were worth drooling over from the other side of the table. I snagged a sample and yes, ummm good! If you are into pork roasted to perfection, just start there! We will be back - they are giving great food away for lower prices than anyone else in the area...hope they can continue to deliver excellence that we enjoyed!

“Food Was not Mexican”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 28 May 2014

Lunch Menu
Cheese enchilada ( I really kept tasting because it was American cheese inside) underneath side of tortilla was hard ...under cooked? The beef taco was just a little below fair.
My friend ordered a chimi
. It was the size of a egg roll and she could not finish it. Was not good. The Guacamole was left also.
I will say the service was O.K..
Please go to any other Mexican Restaurant in Concord.
Sorry El Rodeo you did the service

“Great Mexican food.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 May 2014 via mobile

We arrived at lunchtime, were seated promptly and had salsa and chips in front of us in 30 seconds. The salsa was spicey but not hot, chips warm and thin. The chimi's we ordered arrived on hot plates and though chimi's are fried, the end result was lightly fried not overly cooked. We appreciated the smaller size of the lunch portions.

The place was pleasantly decorated with outstanding booth seating. The restroom deserves mentioning because of its clean presentation. We will be back.

“Ok food but too expensive”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 7 May 2014 via mobile

I am very loyal to the other few local Mexican restaurants in concord. So I was wary to try this one. Went with a huge party for a birthday. Service was amazing; they were so quick and attentive. For what you get, I found it too pricy and it didn't have as much flavor as the other local mex rests.
