A cousin who lives near Concord recommended that we eat at The Granite when we stayed there, saying it was the best restaurant in Concord. When she made the recommendation, I was afraid that said more about the dearth of good restaurants in Concord than about the restaurant itself. But I was wrong. It's a lovely restaurant - the tables are far enough apart that we could hear ourselves talk, the staff was attentive without being fawning and the food was delightful. It's not cheap, but the half portions with an appetizer were just right for a simple dinner.
