We stayed for 2 nights at the Brookside Cabin in October. It is a cozy three-bedroom cabin in the woods about 20 minutes from Conway, NH. You actually cross the state line into Maine. It is about three or four blocks away from the B&B. I can't comment on the B&B or the other cottage as we only saw them from the outside and it looked kind of old and tired but that is all I could say. The cabin is neat and has a master bedroom upstairs with a full bath and two bedrooms downstairs with a full bath and laundry room. It has a nice kitchen with fridge, stove, microwave oven, coffee maker, and everything you need to cook your meals. No dishwasher though, which didn't bother me since there were only two of us. May bother some if you have 6 or more people in the cabin. The kitchen was open to the dining and living. Very nice deck facing the woods with a picnic table and gas grill. There are easy and nice walking trails. We were there in the fall and the foliage was amazing. No cell phone reception but it had a land line and wireless connection. No cable TV but there is a TV/DVD/VHS combo and movies you can watch. The bed in the master bed was really uncomfortable and I woke up with a backache both mornings. The living room has a couple of nice antiques but the chairs and couch are old and uncomfortable, so are the dining chairs. We cooked most of our meals and did our grocery shopping in Conway where there are plenty of restaurants too. The couple of convenience stores we found that were closer than Conway were very limited. We didn't really do research about the area, so I don't know if there was grocery shopping/restaurants closer than the 20 minutes to Conway. Overall, it is a very nice and peaceful place where you can just relax and enjoy nature. Looks like a great place to go with dogs too!
