My friend and I were looking for a hotel option Labor Day Weekend that was close to the hiking trails on the Kangamangus Highway. The Scenic Inn offered a convenient, comfortable, clean and affordable option for us since we didn't want to camp. You are also still close to North Conway so if you want to go in and grab a bite to eat or go shopping you can.

Our only complaint was that the walls were paper thin and in the room next to us there was a young child who was up half the night bouncing around the room and we could hear everything that he was doing.

Wanted 2 days of shopping but did not want to pay $200 a night in North Conway. Booked 2 nights based on good reviews. For just under $200 for two nights got a very clean room...flatscreen TV. Owners are very friendly. Location at the intersection is a bit noisy with traffic and Harleys (everyone in NH who owns a Harley wants to make sure you know it....) Suggestion: if you are a couple, ask for only one queen size bed not two..so you get a couch instead of a chair. This Inn may not work if you have 6 year old kids that need pools or slides to be happy Try Johnathans up the road for seafood. The place is a work in progress but the food is well priced, very good and the international chef/owner will stop by your table to ask if everything is okay.

Room Tip: ask for a couch
