“Quintessential Country Inn”
Reviewed 9 April 2014

We got the room with "the view" twelve large windows featuring the White Mountains (all of them it seemed). It would be impossible to not slow down, decompress, go back to a simpler time. Attention to detail without the fuss -- simple luxury - soft cotton sheets, artisan soaps, simple food, prepared with fresh ingredients by a chef that knows how to cook - friendly, welcoming hosts and staff. We've stayed in places that haven't lived up to their website pics. In this case, the pics. didn't do justice to the Inn. Maybe you can't capture a feeling in a picture.

Room Tip: didn't see other rooms - can only recommend the "room with the view"

The inn was such a cozy, comfortable place to stay that one night was not enough to get the full benefit of a weekend away. The hosts were very friendly, you felt more like guests at a friend's home than at an inn. I loved the look at the bar, the coziness of the roaring fire and it was nice to see locals coming in to relax. Our room was in the main part of the Inn, a beautiful view of the mountains. Our dinner was very good and so relaxing.
With all the snow the Inn indeed lived up to its name!

We stayed in one of the rooms in the barn and it was charming! The room was large and cozy. The bathroom a little bit old, but plenty of warm water and pressure. The food was very good both at dinner and breakfast. The people at the Inn were very helpful and friendly. One of the nicest Inn on the Christmas Cookie Tour!

The pace is measured a rhythm of engaging and relaxing- a flow. Upon entering the office we were immediately caught up in the old beams, the sense of other worldliness cocooned from frenetic life. Old wood, distant mountains, book lined walls enough flavor to feel homey with no sense of being overwhelmed. One could just --- be.
I am also very excited because Jen and Kevin are providing me with the opportunity to teach an Asian Ink Painting workshop here. It will be an exquisite place to focus, meditate and create.

Room Tip: We thoroughly enjoyed the carriage house-- it could be at Rivendell! Low windows beautiful wood, a e...

It is hard not to want to stay here forever! After coming here, previously, for several incredible dinners, we decided to take advantage of the Stone Mt. Arts Center Package. Kevin and Jen and their wonderful staff made it so special. The Robert Frost room, overlooking Mt. Washington was spectacular. Dinner was, as always, the best ever. The morning we left, it snowed, adding to the picture postcard setting!

Room Tip: Robert Frost is the best, facing Mt. Washington.

My husband and I took advantage of the package show weekend with the STone Mountain Arts Center. Snowvillage makes it simple to attend this cool venue, with one of the best dinners in the Mt. Washington Valley! Jen and Kevin were easy going and comfortable hosts. We skiied at Shawnee Peak the next day-easy ride and a very fun mountain. OUr bed was super comfortable and I loved the hundreds of books available to read. THe only drawback for my husband was no TV but he admitted that the laid back country atmosphere at Snowvillage grew on him!

Had a lovely time at The Snowvillage Inn. Kevin and Jen were great hosts. The food and service is amazing and the restaurant is easily the best meal in the North Conway area. The rooms are very cozy and the vibe is relaxed here. You can hang out in the building you are staying in, all have cozy common areas with books and games. Or you can sit in the main building have a drink or coffee in front of the fire, I spent hours just sitting in the main lodge reading and relaxing.

I will be back for a romantic getaway very soon!

Room Tip: I would choose the main lodge, where they have a suite, first. Otherwise you can't go wrong.

I hope your trip home was easy. Sometimes the weather makes it stressful, undoing all the good the Snowvillage in has done! Thank you for the wonderful review. I'm sure we will see you soon for dinner!
