What a lovely setting! Great breakfasts made by Sue and something different every day to tempt us. Four of us stayed here during a trip around North America and Canada. It was clean and there was plenty of room to spread out, we especially enjoyed the balcony and views to the lake. Ray and Sue were very attentive and even treated us to a boat trip around the lake when we arrived. The weather was hot so we took advantage of the canoes and rowing boat provided. We loved the whole atmosphere which was very relaxing. Only sorry to leave!

Room Tip: All rooms were lovely.

The home is warm and inviting and extremely clean. Beautiful property but most of all lovely and helpful owners. Couldn't be nicer.
Breakfast was fresh and delicious.
If you are anywhere near this B and B it is a MUST!

We stayed for one night on our way to Maine.and thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Absolutely loved sitting down by the lake in the afternoon and on the porches in the evening. Very relaxing, quiet and enjoyable. Sue and Ray were great hosts and we look forward to returning and getting out on the lake in the kayaks!

I was sad to leave after a relaxing week at the Stanford B&B. It's location is gorgeous- overlooking a serene lake in a beautiful region of New Hampshire. I needed a place to stay while I was interviewing for a job at Dartmouth- it ended up being an easy 20 minute drive with stunning views. Well worth it to stay here, I would do it again in a heartbeat. There is so much to explore on and around their property and in the surrounding regions.

The Stanfords went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed and more. They made us feel right at home without being overbearing or intrusive. They were extremely accommodating. They have lovely, friendly, warm personalities and it was a pleasure to be around them. The food was outstanding. I will definitely be back, and I will also recommend that my family and friends stay here during future visits.

They also have easy wifi access in the house.

We stayed at the Stanford B&B while visiting family in NH. The Inn is nicely located on a hill overlooking Crystal Lake. When staying at the B&B you only have to walk down the driveway and cross the road to have access to a beautiful lake. They have a dock and a raft and kayaks for use. The water temperature in August is very comfortable and they have a good swimming area off the dock. We paddled around in the kayaks one morning and it was really relaxing and comfortable. Sue and Ray were full of good information on the area and really just a joy to sit down and talk with. We really enjoyed the breakfast each morning and the conversation to go along with it. The log cabin is pretty new and very well kept. We would highly recommend this B&B for anyone staying in the Dartmouth / Lake Sunapee area.

After mountain bike riding for 5 hours on the Northern Rail Trail we found a hidden gem!! The Inn is a newer huge log cabin, all wood of course (great for allergies) beautifully done with a huge wrap around porch that overlooks the lake from their hill top.

The innkeepers are generous, hardworking, and genuine !!! They invited us to use their kayaks, dock, floats, chairs etc. on their beautiful waterfront property Crystal Lake. They also offered to drive us over to a restaurant for dinner or use their grill anticipating our needs! Their attention to small details did not go unnoticed new towels, fluffy bath rug – comfortable room with cool lakeside breezes
They asked us what time we’d like breakfast and Breakfast was excellent! – Individual quiche cakes- bowls of fruit , juice, coffee, hamsteaks etc. Perfect for a return bike ride.

The bed and breakfast is still a work in progress as they are reconstructing a lower level to offer more space and privacy. They are modest and honest . They shared that they had accidentally become a bed and breakfast because of over flow-- They offer fabulous happy accommodations at a reasonable price. Given their desire to anticipate and to meet /predict individual needs I anticipate that their Bed And Breakfast will no longer remain a “hidden” jewel.
