“Great stay at The Cottage”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 22 April 2014

We fully enjoyed our stay at The Cottage and would recommend this B&B to anyone. The house is freshly renovated, we had a very pretty room and also had a delicious breakfast on the next morning. Margaret and her husband are wonderful hosts and their friendliness and attention to detail made us feel very welcome. The cottage is also well located to enjoy the lovely Dorset countryside and go for visits in nearby villages.

Stayed in this splendid guest house, for one all too brief night.

Margaret was an available, informative and the perfect hostess.

For those of us who exist in the busier, faster and modern world, this was a haven of calm.

The room was large and beautifully decorated, with a beautifully comfortable bed. I only wish we could have spent more than a flying visit here.

The complimentary coffee and cake on arrival through to the great delight of a full English breakfast, were faultlessly prepared.

Beautiful village, a treat to experience no 'light pollution' at night - but as even torches were available, this presented no problems either.

Fantastic room, fantastic shower and fantastic breakfast! Credit must also go to Margaret and John (the owners) who not only have a beautiful house but were also so welcoming, which you don't always get with B&Bs... Can't recommend it highly enough if you're in the area!

Wonderful house with beautifully prepared rooms. Friendly and warm hosts for whom nothing was too much trouble made for a thouroughly enjoyable stay.Arriving with relatives we had first choice of rooms but as both were so spacious we chose the slightly smaller one.

Margaret and John have a very nice house and the room is great! We were only there for one night, but we loved it and they were fantastic hosts. Really appreciated all the little touches, the local recommendations and of course the very good breakfast.
We will definitely be coming back soon to stay longer!

We were coming some distance for a lunch party and needed somewhere to stay for the night. The Cottage fitted the bill perfectly. The accommodation was excellent - simply and freshly decorated and spotlessly clean. Arriving early to leave our things we were given a warm welcome and a free upgrade to the larger room. A large comfortable bed with crisp white sheets ensured a good nights sleep which was followed by a delicious breakfast complete with tasty local bacon and sausage.
A pretty village with lovely local walks on the doorstep would make this a good base for a rural w/e treat in Dorset.

Room Tip: If noone else is staying and you have booked the smaller room you might get offered a free upgrade t...

The Cottage was a wonderful find with first class accommodation. We were given a very warm welcome and made to feel at home from the moment we arrived. Breakfast was exceptionally good. We would recommend The Cottage unreservedly to anyone.
