First visit to the Inn by the Bandstand and certainly not our last! Beautifully decorated throughout, yet very welcoming. Susan and her crew are very friendly and knowledgable about the area. Very relaxing and can't wait to go back. Location of the inn couldn't be better. Breakfast beautifully presented and delicious. thank you for such a great time.

I never have been one to post reviews about hotels/bed and breakfasts but my boyfriend and I had such a marvelous time and loved the location and Inn so much that I have to get the word out! Sue (the innkeeper) has such a kind heart, and her passion for what she does shows throughout every inch of the house. She is so kind, and we loved spending time at the Inn.

My boyfriend and I will keep our time there very close to our hearts. It was such a special and amazing experience, which is all due to Susan's hard work and expertise. All of her insight and helpful hints made it so great!

I highly recommend this charming home for your next romantic getaway. Exeter is beautiful and Sue is the best!

I was looking for a place to ask my lady friend to marry me, and this was the prefect place. They had a nice fireplace and a good view from the window. The rooms had a lot of space and was very quiet. They brought are breakfast up to are room and we ate in front of the fire. They also had a wine package worth looking into.

The Inn at the Bandstand is a beautiful bed and breakfast tucked away in Exeter, NH. My boyfriend and I stayed there this weekend and had a fantastic time. The inn keeper Susan is extremely helpful, accommodating, and is a fantastic cook. We were served homemade chocolate chip cookies in the evening and a delicious breakfast this morning. We stayed in the Windsor suite which was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable and the room had a great ambiance. I would recommend this inn and surely plan on returning back! Thanks Susan! :)

We purchased a groupon for a two night stay to celebrate our 32nd wedding anniversary. My wife had never stayed in a B&B and was very wary of our stay. After our arrival and greeting by a super friendly innkeeper, Susan, she was nothing but pleased the remainder of our stay. The Inn was very clean and well maintained and Susan, the innkeeper, was very friendly and informative. We stayed in the Somerset Cottage, on the third floor, with exposed beams and a gas log fireplace. The inn was built in 1809, so the floors are not level and the wide pine board floors creak a bit, adding to the ambiance. A delicious breakfast was prepared for us each morning and was served with friendly conversation and historical information about the locale.
The room included private bathroom, free internet, gas log fireplace, separate heat controls, complimentary wine (first night), refrigerator and wet bar. Don't look for wide-screen TVs and wild night life...an extremely relaxing inn and quaint New England village. Great restaurants within walking distance. Will definitely be a repeat stay for us.

Room Tip: The cottages and suites in the front of the inn look out over the bandstand in the town square and h...

If you are looking for a get away that takes you right into another era, try this B & B. Every room has been restored and decorated with period pieces; antiques; paintings; beautiful draperies; bedspreads, lamps and fireplaces....all to create a very warm and inviting experience. We stayed in the "Wiliamsburg Suite" which had two good sized rooms, a sitting area and windows that overlooked the downtown area. The B & B was full the weekend we were there, and we never heard any walking or talking above or below us. We didn't know there were any guests there until the next morning when we call came down for breakfast...which was delicious both days Everything is in walking distance and is right in the center of downtown Exeter. Every store window in Exter is decorated in unique and unusual ways...not just Christmas decorations, but really tasteful decor. Would recommend "The Blue Moon Evolution" restaurant for dinner which is just behind the B & B. Also 10 Water Street is just two blocks away. Upon arrival we were given a $25.00 gift certificate to one of the local pubs just a few blocks away. It was a cozy cool place with friendly staff and a fun atmosphere. "Susan" the owner is very helpful and extremely welcoming and goes out her way to you to mayke your experience a memorable one. Best Groupon experience to date!

Room Tip: All of the rooms are beautifully decorated, but if you can get into one of the suites, you'll ha...

My husband and I stayed here February 1-3 and had a wonderful time. The inn is beautiful and Susan, the innkeeper, welcoming and friendly. We stayed in the Devonshire junior suite, which was very clean, nicely decorated and had a gas fireplace, which we loved. The bathroom was miniscule, but it's an old house and I'd rather have a small bathroom than a shared bathroom. The breakfast was tasty and I loved that we had to sit with other people because both mornings we had great conversations with other couples. This is the perfect place to visit if you are from the Boston area and want to stay in a place an hour, but a world, away. We used a groupon coupon too, so it was very affordable. I would absolutely recommend the Inn By The Bandstand.
