The Epoch restaurant at Exeter Inn is an unexpected find in this small New Hampshire town. The Chefs are top-quality and often go on to larger, more urban venues. The bar and wait staff can be transient so training is frequently incomplete. The food is always outstanding, with flavor combinations that often make me say "Why didn't I think of this?" The atmosphere is very cozy. The restaurant is expensive for Exeter - expect Boston prices - but well worth a visit for special occasions.
